Jurgen Klopp Sack Watch

It's completely mental. I'm totally lost for words. I haven't met a single person who doesn't find it embarrassing and the Dortmund fans I know are more annoyed by it than anyone else.

Oh yeah. German media have an extra stream where you can watch Klopp for the entire match and the entire broadcast will go from 7pm (I know this because they have a permanent overlay telling me this since at least sunday) to 1 am.

 no way. That's insane, how obsessed must someone be to watch that.

Yeah you're absolutely right. I have since reversed my take on this.
Its football, not some shitty reality TV like TOWIE. Lets the football take precedence over some homecoming with a manager.

The hype is utterly embarrassing. The questions raised in the presser were poor regardless if German, English or Japanese journos asked them. The interpreter was the worst I can ever recall. Half of what he translated was inaccurate.

I beg your pardon

Isn't that a tad insincere? The very existence of this and every other football forum is built, in part, on discussion around the pomp and ceremony of the sport. The hype is central to it all.

We are all complicit in the 'show' element of football; the media coverage is verbose and over the top but that's what helps to create the spectacle - it undoubtedly raises the stakes. It makes it matter more.

I'm not saying that the actual football is a sideshow, nor should it be, but it definitely benefits from sub-stories thickening the plot.

I get this particular story is a strain on the eyes of United fans but this IS the game these days. And ultimately it makes the whole thing even more interesting.

Agree with everything you've said.

The post I quoted just above yours is a bit fecking stupid though - it's gone beyond showmanship and deep into oblivious self-parody.

Klopp has had enough as well.

Things like “KloppCam” you mean?
There’s what? KloppCam?

Yes. Sport1 [a German TV channel] is having six hours of live coverage on Thursday including a “KloppCam” on you for the full 90 minutes of the game.
This is the first time I have heard about it. They can’t put a camera in front of my face. You see how crazy the world is? I don’t know what I can do. I know the way in Dortmund – off the bus, stairs down, left, right, dressing room and no one in there, only us. Go out, stairs down, through the tunnel, into the stadium. It is always like this. It is loud, a big crowd and for the players everything is like it always is and that is the most important thing. I don’t play. If someone is silly enough to want to see my face for 90 minutes I cannot change the world. I can’t believe it is like this but if it is true I have to think about whether I will talk with this television station in my life again. I’m pretty sure I will not, if I don’t have to. Maybe they will think about that because I have done a few interviews with them before. But that’s how it is.

Fair fecks to him.

Said it from the start, it's an absolute disaster that he manages them

Quality young manager with energy and passion. Something we've certainly not got and if Giggs is appointed he will have the young but but nothing else. We're a bloody embarrassment and changes need to be made from top to bottom.

They we're destined to win this cup as soon as they beat us. Credit where it's due they are better than us at the moment (for what that's worth). LVG has so much to answer for.

The worst part is that he is better than aynone United can get, even Mourinho. He has transformed Liverpool and will make them better next season. They play with great spirit and confidence. His reactions may seem ridiculous but their point is not to look adequate or nice to neutrals but to raise the spirit of the team and the fans.

Klopp has this complete shower of shit playing for him amazing how a good, passionate manager runs off on the players

We've got an Emotionless robot and it shows on our team

I'm not getting ahead of myself because they won in the fashion they did, because I'd have said the same had they lost - he's absolutely taking them in the right direction, and no matter what van Gaal achieves in the FA Cup, Klopp should be the only reminder United fans need that van Gaal has to go.

Imagine what he is capable of with a full pre-season and recruitments of his own.

Top four contention next season.

Wish we had a tenth of the passion and desire Klopp and his team shows.

Give him a couple of transfer windows and Liverpool will be a force again

Lay off the drugs.

Better than Mourinho? Same Mourinho who has won the European cup twice and every league that he's managed in.

it certainly doesn't take two years to implement a philosophy (LVG actually said he needs three)

let's keep hold of some reason & perspective here

he's a cheaty overacting gobshite twatfaced bellend

Well, time will tell. When was the last time Mou won the CL? Years ago...Klopp belongs to another generation of managers. His Dortmund beat Mourinho's Madrid and it was fully deserved.

When has Klopp won the CL? Never.

Also Guardiola won his last CL a year later than Mourinho. He must be in another generation too then.
