Jurgen Klopp Sack Watch

They won the thing three times in a row.
United would have beat them. We beat Celta Vigo who finished above them.

Klopps just bitter his players bottled it in the two finals Mourinho won. It doesn't matter who we beat, we won what you didn't.

We played Barcelona with Messi+Iniesta+Xavi+Guardiola and lost twice in the finals and are not complaining about not having 5 Champions Leagues are we?

What's the context of this quote anyway? Was he bizarrely asked about our Europa League final, or did he just blurt it out, like he kept doing about the offside goal all last season?

What's with all the he has a point/he's right BS? What he's saying is "We lost because we were worse than Seville, United won because they were better than Ajax." Doesn't mean we wouldn't have beaten Seville .. we were the best in the competition and would have contained them and made them look mediocre. Liverpool would still have lost to Ajax in the final because, well, it's what Klopps does.

Offside goal
They've been living in their RAWK bubble hole
They're never tiring of those tapped-up boys
And all those presents from that bastid Moyes
They're gonna cry over...

Offside goals
Now they're managed by a moaning troll
I bet he's never had a Final win
And it's all the fault of manc-made wind
Blown through the bin

Yeah and we could've lost to Southampton in the EFL Cup final like Liverpool lost to them in the EFL Cup semi. Difference is we have Jose and they have Klopp. Jose makes history, Klopp makes excuses. Both at the perfect clubs for their respective mentalities.

It's bizarre that there's posters on this forum that are even entertaining this rubbish. It's petty, and pathetic from Klopp. It doesn't even deserve a reasoned response because it's something you'd expect an 8 year old to come out with.

Or perhaps Ajax lost because they played Manchester United, while Sevilla won because they played Liverpool.

This is Klopp right now.

I'm confident Klopp is going to have a rough season this year.. can't wait for Mourinho to stick the knife in.

I don't even think it was a jibe from Mourinho - it's kind of a fact. That he's immediately bitten and then added a completely irrelevant point about the Europa League is just desperate.

Jurgen Flopp

Denigrate or downplay our silverware all you want Jurgen, the fact remains Mourinho won two trophies in his first season whilst you've won feck all in almost two.

Jose points out a fact as does Klopp. Bored internet dwelling football fans read too much into nothing and loose their s***. Season can't start soon enough.

Klopp is a bigger jobber than Ash Ketchum; he would have found a way to lose to Ajax too.

Stupid thing to say by Klopp. Winning is what counts, and whining won't get him there.

That said, anyone who can't see the vast difference in quality between the Ajax and Sevilla sides that played those 2 finals isn't much better.

He's not wrong (completely). It doesn't also matter at the end of the day, you can only beat who is in front of you.

So the history books will indicate Klopp lost an EL final while Mourinho won his second. They will also note that the level of difficulty was different.

Some people will care, some won't. Life goes on.

He seems to get a bit of a free ride, though. When people talk about pressure for the coming season it seems to always be Pep and Mourinho that people say the pressure is on.

Let's not forget that when Klopp came, the media in particular made him out to be some sort of messiah that would take Liverpool back to the top. It's all been pretty underwhelming so far.
Yeah I agree, he hasn't even been an improvement on Brendan Rodgers who people were quick to turn on when the results weren't good enough. At least he managed to come close to winning the league. I remember when our results were poor under LVG the media were quick to compare him with Moyes saying that we weren't better off at the time and even Jose last season there were comparisons with Moyes as well and how we had a worse win percentage. Luckily we won 3 trophies to shut them up. None of that with Klopp though.

I don't get the fascination.

Klopp hasn't won anything of note as a manager for over half a decade. What's the big deal with this guy, why are fans of other clubs so fascinated? I understand Liverpool fans being upbeat - they're always upbeat.

But Klopp is the least threatening manager we have to contend with in the EPL. We have to face Conte, Guardiola, Pochettino, Wenger...They are managers to worry about.

Klopp has had a chequered career as a manager....He did 'OK' with Mainz, and when I say 'OK', I mean 'OK'...He had a couple of mid-table finishes, finally got them promoted, and then got them relegated again...Decent up and down seven years with the club...nothing amazing, nothing terrible. Great job getting them up, poor job trying to keep them there and poor job trying to get them back up. All a bit Mick McCarthy if you ask me.

Then took the Borussia job and did fantastic in the grand scheme of things. But also - let's not forget - had some really mediocre campaigns with them. Finished 13th, 6th, 5th - then did a superb job of not only winning the League title but DEFENDING it - which is truly a tough achievement and Klopp deserves all the praise he got for those triumphs He also made Dortmund a force in Europe during those two years, too. They then finished second a couple of times before he dropped them back down to 7th.

Came to Liverpool, had an average first 7months where they finished 8th and then last season they finished 4th. I don't think he has achieved ANYTHING with Liverpool or has done anything to suggest he will be a threat to getting his hands on that EPL trophy.

Klopp has had more DOWNS than UPS as a manager....and is genuinely not a figure we should be thinking about at all. Like I said, his managerial career fades into insignificance when you compare him to our other rivals' managers' records.

I don't get it! He doesn't interest me in any way as a threat. I think, with City and United and Chelsea now settled with managers who aren't bedding into their clubs, Liverpool will sink back to their Millennium average position of 6th this season and there is nothing that suggests they can improve on that over the course of Klopp's reign as far as I can see. They might, of course, They might have another 3rd or 4th place finish over the next 4 years but that's as likely as it is for them to finish 8th again. They will average 6th over Klopp's reign...simply because he is not in the same category as Mourinho, Guardiola, Conte, Pochettino and Wenger. Klopp has been a professional manager for 16 seasons and had two brilliant seasons, three good seasons and 11 very mediocre seasons. Why the big deal? Because he has a personality? If I was a fan of a Spurs/Liverpool/Everton type club, give me the quiet Pochettinho a hundred times out of a hundred over massive personality Klopp.

I seriously don't get the fuss.

And By the way; if - and it's a massive IF, but if he ever did rival United for a title over the next few years, Mourinho will melt him. He overreacts to everything Mourinho says. Mourinho only has to throw a tiny pebble out there, and Klopp goes all guns blazing, Keegan-style. If it came down to the two having to lead their side over the line, there is only one winner. Mourinho would eat Klopp for breakfast and I'm pretty sure has already been laughing with his fellow coaches that Klopp reacted in such a way to a tiny pebble Mouirho threw out there on pre-season.
Can you like posts on RC anymore? This post deserves one.

I seriously hope they get put out of CL qualifiers.

Gotta admit, I like the way klopps teams play, but the bottom line is that Liverpool lost because they're Liverpool, & it'll take more than a manager who wears lederhosen & says boom to change that anytime soon.

By Ajax would be lovely. I'd wank myself into a frenzy.

They're both seeded or something. Can't play each other but still - it would be beautiful if that fecking clown didn't qualify.

I can't believe I liked him before he went to Liverpool. Jeez
