Jurgen Klopp Sack Watch

Too many gormless players. Matip was pretty gormless yesterday yet if he was missing the bad defending would be down to him being missing.

You let Sakho go knowing you had no cover, you have Milner at LB, Lucas at CB and Origi up front.
So no. It doesn't make sense to me.
That isn't the debate we were having. It's about whether with Euro matches we would have strengthened. So stop trying to obfuscate.

They've bought absolute dross for as long as I can remember apart from one or two gems.

Awful transfer committee doesn't know what it's doing, neither does Plopp.

a) we would have bought new players without doubt
b) we may have retained some of those let go - and compare those to our bench yesterday.

Does that make sense to you ?
Ah so instead of improving your squad to ensure you would get top 4 Klopp thought it best to leave the dead wafer thin for no apparent reason. Great management.

So stating how Klopp uses his squad isn't an indication of how Klopp would use his squad?
He'd probably sign Crouch and play him as goalkeeper if you reach the CL.

Christ you're boring. Unable to debate so come out with

Personally ? Allen and Skrtel (yes, getting on and a liability but better than having Lucas as your #4 CB) !

Yeah I guess Allen is the one, the rest were rightfully shipped out, Sakho aside.

Read my posts in here - my logic is sound.

But I will repeat, just for you:

Plopp won't win feck all at Liverpool until he can work out how to defend properly.

Liverpool's model under FSG isn't working. Selling for profit only to replace with shite doesn't work. E.g. replacing Suarez with Benteke.

Liverpool haven't won feck all in years. Tick tock...
All conjecture or boring regurgitation. You're adding nothing to the debate. Again.

You're just getting angry with anyone and everyone that doesn't share your delusional views. Again.
I don't get angry. I just get frustrated at WUMmers who don't use their brains and have nothing to say but regurgitate platitudes to the silent masses. I'm sure it does your ego and your standing with your minions on the board a lot of good though.

Been down this road with you before. Therefore I'll stop this pointlessness with you right now.

Don't be so condescending. We are all entitled to our views.

You don't like them because you want us all praising Liverpool when in fairness, we are discussing how Klopp still hasn't been able to build a good defence or have a Plan B. Posters like @Klopper76 realise this but you prefer to live in the "everything is great we are Liverpool" bubble.

Wake up.

Indeed. I still can't get over the wastefulness of sidelining Sakho and using Lucas as a makeshift CB (though he did have one good game in five).

Sakho must have banged Klopp's wife or something and no one wants this inside their woman, there's no coming back.

I can't stop laughing at this.

Complaining about the long ball again.
"The first long ball from Hennessey was a ...really long ball..."
"If they win this long ball, then already it's very dangerous...if they don't and then they get the second ball but cannot go through, then they play on the wing, cross, Christian Benteke....counter attack...so..good, strong players, so it's all that so ...we knew it"

"I'm very much...used to nothing more in my life than getting up after a knock...so ...nothing happens more often to me than this so that's no problem"

still crying about long balls?

Those eyes alone would have have saved us half a dozen goals conceded ... they must be terrifying as an opposition striker !

If you'd bothered to watch then you'd have known he wasn't 'crying' about long balls at all. He simply stated that he knew what their tactics would be and described how their first goal came about. But anyway I've spoilt your fun now haven't I ? Sorry !

thats not how their first ball came about though? the full back made a forward pass to cabaye and he crossed it for benteke. the second was a corner. neither of them are long balls. i wouldnt say either of those goals were purely benteke s skill. even someone with agueros height could have slotted both in.

I didn't watch his interview, I rarely do as he is weird with all his weird facial exercises. If he thinks or described their first goal as long ball then he is wrong and deluded. It was wonderful pass that opened up your defense, the timing of the run from Cabaye, cross and before that the pass to set Cabaye free was very good play.

Actually I thought the first was a damn good goal. Yes it was a very long ball from the FB but it was a damn good one to Cabaye, who brilliantly broke the offside line, his cross was inch perfect and Benteke did what any good striker would do .. put it back across goal. It was long ball but it was a long pass not a hoof.

Pretty much as I just described above.

I still didn't understand why Pool could not play 'adult football' against Palace, when they could do the same against West Brom

I thought Lovren's judgement for that goal was very poor and opened the door for Palace, but from their point of view it was very well worked.

The second goal I've decided is Klopp's fault. We've conceded so many goals like that this season but still he persists with this zonal marking, which the players clearly struggle with. I guess he'll have to address that in the summer now.

It must be absolutely sickening being a Liverpool..the build up of false hope is continuous. It has been continuous for my whole lifetime.

It has to get their supporters really down. Life can't be enjoyable being a Pool fan. To save themselves from being depressed, they suppress that depression with a really bitter attitude.

I guess @Rafateria is the poster boy of that bitterness here on RedCafe. Word of advice to you Raf; don't hang your bitterness out there for all to see, you are only making things more enjoyable for us United fans. And considering we've won 13 of the last 25 EPL titles on offer, and the fact that we support the biggest and richest football club on the planet; do we really need more to be joyous about?

You know it's still just a sport at the end of the day?

Anyone whose happiness is dictated by how their football team is doing needs to have a word with themselves.

I care about how Liverpool do but it shouldn't be depressing or sickening following a football team. If it is then it's probably worth taking a step back from it.

Yeah I agree with you here. Utd's results have no bearing on my life. But I am nearly 40 now and mellowed with age.

We never played to his strengths, and Klopp likes his striker to be a part of his pressing style. Benteke was useless at playing a pressing game.

It highlights a big issue with Klopp though, which is his lack of flexibility. He's so hung up on playing this one style of play that a decent goal scorer like Benteke goes to waste, because he doesnt fit the system. That lack of tactical flexibility has cost us a fair few times since Klopp arrived.

Whats his beef with Mamadope then?

Something to do with his attitude during pre season.

It's ridiculous considering the backing we gave Suarez but we don't know exactly what went on, and Klopp never managed Suarez.

This is where I've been the last month or so .. I hope you're enjoying your glory hunting instead of real life *blows kiss*

I think he's having a go at his players. Saying "I told you what to expect and you still fecked up".

Matip thrown up front yet again towards the end, dont you love it when shite talk comes back to haunt you? Done it multiple times since having a pip at the likes of us for utilizing Fellaini in similar vein. I still like Klopp, but his handling of the media only highlights his own flaws. Pot - Kettle - Black and all that.

21 points from 14 games against bottom 7 in the league. That's shocking though. Caught so often against countering teams with their high line and zonal marking ontop of it.

Haha - a lot !

Brilliant pictures! Is that somewhere in the Andes by any chance? I've done my share of Himalayan adventures & can totally relate.

Tough luck with the match, i think enough posters here have had a right go at you and i don't need to add to it :). We're shaping up for top 4 and the feeling is just fantastic.

Thanks !

High Himalayas, Nepal. This was taken looking down at Gokyo from Gokyo Ri (peak) at ca. 5,350m
The mountains dramatically overlooking Gokyo village are Cholatse (6,440m & 21,129 ft) and Taboche (6,501m & 21,309 ft) - Everest is about 90 degrees to my left but not in these photos. Note the largest glacier in the Himalayas, Ngozomba, immediately behind the village. Moraine covers the top but you can see the glacier underneath! The gorgeous turquoise lake below is Dudh Pokhari, one of the highest in the world.

It was such a spectacular, if strenuous, trek !

I know right. Pep mentioned that as well in his post match after Arsenal. It's the manager's go to. As if long balls were some dark art that creates negative football...

If LPool & City were able to deal with long balls, teams would try something else. You can hardly have a go at other teams, especially clubs like Palace, for being pragmatic
