Jurgen Klopp Sack Watch

Looking forward to Jürgen mumbling those words when he's not even managing in England anymore. "...yes, but Man United scored an offside goal..."

The difference between a decent player and a great player is consistency. All the Liverpool players have had purple patches where they look great, but they can't do it over a season or over a number of seasons. They fill their squad with mediocrity, and when they play well, hugely overrate them. Then, when they inevitably dip in form, their weaknesses are glaringly exposed.

This describes a large part of the caf about United players.

The handball that wasn't actually a penalty.

Ah, but it was. You're as bad as Klopp saying that.

Klopp does need to let it go though. It's not quite a 'fachts' list yet but he's getting there.

What an insufferable little prick:lol:

Meanwhile, still looking for the horde of his fanboys :wenger: gone into hiding

I may sound daft here, but I get the impression with Klopp that he isn't cut out to manage at an elite level, I could never see his personality or style working at a club like Bayern or Barca, think he's destined to be the underdog with clubs that are a tier below elite like Dortmund or take punts on fallen giants like Liverpool.

I can see him going to one of Inter or Milan after his spell with Liverpool.

It was a handball. If it was the incorrect decision then Mourinho would have said something like he did following Hull's penalty in the EFL cup semi.

Ahh yes, the "ingratiate yourself with the scousers by making out man utd get unfair decisions" ploy. He knows how to play to their delusions eh?

Hardly anyone is going to care about that offside decision if we miss out on top four.

He needs to focus on getting us going again instead of trying to deflect like this every week.

That's really the only explanation. It's so small time to keep banging on the same thing. Say it once, fine. But to keep repeating it, off context like this. Surprising.

Klopp at a German club in 2030: "My CV should be even better. That offside goal against Man United....."

He really needs to move on from that offside goal. Mention it after the game by all means but it's in the past now - look forward, not back.

I liked this guy before he came to the PL but I suppose I had absolutely no idea what his pre-match conferences and all the comments that go to the press are like.

He's an immense wanker, hope he meltdowns even further, drags Liverpool with him and gets a sack. He's a sad man. He's like Moyes.

Agreed. I don't even think about it unless he brings it up. Decisions even themselves out over the course of a season anyway in my opinion.

Wasn't Lallana offside in the build up to the corner which they got the penalty??

He shouldn't be making bitter remarks like this when his team's form has faded. Comments like this don't help his team.

They got a penalty v us, but did nothing to earn it. Just a stupid mistake by Pogba. Firmino got a penalty when going nowhere against Spurs to earn them a point, while a missed Costa penalty saved the draw for them v Chelsea. Half their results v the top 6 this season have relied on getting lucky with penalties. He's got a cheek to moan about being hard done by.

It was, and while I'm fully supportive of the idea that any handball in the area should be a pk, it's hard to say Pogba's was intentional since he was twirling around while jumping. If he meant it, he got pretty lucky to have made contact.

If anything, his form in preparing for the jump put his hand in a dangerous place. Much like Schweinsteiger's in the Euros. Sometimes, to jump really high, you have to place your arms above your head and use them as leverage. This can result in a handball but it's completely unintentional. Risky, but unintentional.

It wasn't though, the rules even state it has to be deliberate for it to be a penalty, it wasn't deliberate.

It may not be a deliberate hand to ball, but you can't go around jumping with your arm raised like that and not expect it to be given.

The arm up in the air was entirely avoidable so the ref is entitled to consider it deliberate.
