im a little worried that news of us being interested in Klopp are being leaked in 2014.
*rumorsWhat news?
It might be controversial, but I think Klopp is the best manager in the world now that Fergie has retired. I don't care if he hasn't won the CL yet or that he's only been in the "scene" for 4-5 years. What he has done with Dortmund is amazing, and I don't think any other manager(except Fergie) could have done the same.
Love the big man, he'd be brilliant at United although would he come? He seems quite attached to Dortmund. Can anyone tell me why he needs a translator, I've seen him speak English and it's as good as Van Gaal's. And the translator on Klopp's left, why was he so .. showy?
Watch from 13:20, the translator and Klopp
That's what I assumed. Thanks. Would he even consider coming to Manchester post Van Gaal?
If he moves to PL, he will defo be in contention to be considered among the managerial greats.. He has to win the CL, and that's going to be tough with Bayern poaching all his best players...
I think because Bayern have woken up from their slumber, since three years ago, he will always be fighting from a position of considerable weakness and the sad part is they have weakened him and will look to do so again in the summer. If he were to join any of the big guns in the PL he'd have sufficient funds to compete and the ability to keep his side together, which is a prerequisite for a CL win. Settled sides win the CL and he can have that at any one of City, United or Chelsea. Just imagine this guy with a two hundred million pound warchest, he would do some serious damage.Even as a Bayern guy; Dortmund is still the greatest story in football.
You cant become a great in the BL?

Don't mind me I just want him at OT at some point, he'd be perfect for us but he could be the German Fergie for Dortmund, the guy who builds a dynasty through brilliance and willpower.Ok, sorry. My bad. A very good point.
But Dortmund is going places. Got 120 million in the summer for selling parts of the club. And with any CL season more money comes in. Add to that a great German youth where any kid wants to go to Bayern and Dortmund and sees his chances with the later. My point of view(since 2011 in terms of where they could end) is that IF they keep doing their great work on and off the pitch they will be a top top club in 5 or so years.
And if I would be Klopp I would want to be the man who builts the second top German club up again and keeps it on the top.
But you are right. The PL would be great for him also.
He certainly is a character. As for his personality - haven't met the man personally.... he konws how to work the media, that is for sure.Fecking love the man. Such a great personality in a line of work filled with mostly douchebags and robots (our present manager excluded). Wonderful managing skills aside, Klopp has got a touch of the Big Lebowski about him. Just looks like a happy, homeless guy. Who wouldn't root for him?

Bayern will continuously sign his best players, but he strikes me as someone who would be happy enough to persist with Dortmund despite Bayern's dominance. As much as I'd love him at United I also kind of hope he stays at Dortmund for life. He can definitely win the UCL with Dortmund if he stays there, and in my opinion this current team isn't that far off. I think I'd be suicidal if he ever went to City or Liverpool.
Obviously I'm just speculating, but I get the impression he wouldn't want to go to a club like Madrid who are constantly changing the squad. He'd prefer to go somewhere he knows he can build something, imo.
My wet dream manager.

That's the thing about Klopp, unlike other managers, none of it feels contrived. He doesn't seem to have an ulterior motive. I think he's a genuinely nice bloke who likes having fun and is refreshingly honest. And isn't afraid of showing emotion. Of course, much of my admiration is based on Dortmund playing the most attractive, exciting brand of football today. He's the anti-Moyes.He certainly is a character. Yeah I get it, my arguments are motivated by my wanting him here more tha anything else. He is going to be your Fergie.....We were damn near close in 2012. This team has the ability to win this competition, it may not be a prime favourite but it has the chance to do so.
You are of course right, that it might be easier for him to win with United or Chelsea, but Jürgen Klopp does not want the easy way. He wants to fulfill his vision of football and right now there is no better place for him to do that than Dortmund. In Dortmund he has earned himself the utmost trust from the supporters and officials. They embrace the emotionality of the football that Klopp lives for and let him be exactly as he wants to be. There is of course also the aspect, that winning the CL with Dortmund would be a way bigger accomplishment than with an European elite side. He would be doing it against the odds and not by chosing the path where everything would be in his favour.
On top of that he has a team that is completely and utterly his own, being chosen by him bar three exceptions (and these three were extremely influenced by him aswell). They bleed and sweat for him on the pitch and are ready to go the extra kilometer if it means to fulfill their roles. There might be currently no other top team in the world, which has such a strong emotional connection to their coach as Dortmund. It is often a tired clichée how players describe their own teams as families, but in Dortmund´s case there is a lot of evidence that suggests it is close to that.
Jürgen Klopp does not like to see his key players leave and sometimes he shows frustration with that, but he does not view these situations as road blocks or even reasons for him to quit, but rather as challenges and opportunities to keep the team from stagnating. People often think that the ultimate success can not be archived because the team loses gradually quality, when the opposite is true. This current squad is without a doubt the strongest and most flexible Klopp ever had.
With the return of Kagawa this team is basically the matured version of the one, which played the best football of his tenure (second half 2011/2012) plus a way stronger bench and more options. Instead of being bound to the 4-2-3-1 formation it has become way more versatile over the years: 4-1-4-1, 4-3-3 offensive or defensive, 4-4-2 flat or 4-4-2 diamond. You name a formation with a 4 man back line, they can play it.
This current standing is not only the result of Klopp´s strong coaching but also of one of the best transfer policies and the financial growth of Dortmund as a club. There are several player, which were wanted by Klopp for a long time and viewed by him for months or even years. Mkhitaryan, Immobile or Ginter to name a few. All of them chose to come to us and a lot of them even turned down financially better offers to either be able to be here or be part of his team again. There is basically no bigger acknowledgement for the quality of his work than by being the main factor for players to play for a club.
Yep, without sounding too gay he's the kind of manager that's beloved moreso than feared or respected by fans, players, and opposition alike.Such a charismatic guy, the the kind of infectious personality that lifts his players.
