Jude Bellingham | Real Madrid player

Debuted for Madrid last night behind the strikers. Good debut by all accounts.

I was at the game today. He’s an unreal talent. Was born to play for them.

This is my fave English generation, its much more cohesive & interesting - shame about Southgate

And my Arsenal friends keep telling me that Rice is worth every penny of his English tax while Bellingham is overpriced. I know it's a highlight video, but that's so many quality moments for a 20 year old debuting for Real Madrid against a decent Milan side.

I think I get Bellingham now. Having only seen snippets and a few full games for England, I couldn’t quite get the fuss. But would it fair to say that what sets him apart is a bit like what set 19 year old Mbappe apart - decision making?

I’m not saying he’s that level of talent of course he isn’t, nor do I think he’s lacking in talent but I remember what made Mbappe a special young player was not just his talent (others have had that and as much of not more imo) was that even as a kid he somehow found a way to hurt teams due to his intelligence on the pitch. Bellingham strikes me as one of those.

I think what makes Bellingham stand out is that he is a moments player and as such has very unique attributes for a CM. He's probably the best one on one dribbler I've seen in this position as he combines great dribbling skill with physique and acceleration. So at times you see scenes from him you'd expect from a top winger.

But for Dortmund he was still very raw if you ask me. He'd played a bit like Bruno for United so to speak, being very risky in his decision making and for me, his return was a bit small for that. He's also a bit undisciplined against the ball, leaving the pressing formation and as those high risk chance creating CMs, he can have very bad games if the opponent is in control of the ball and his passes don't come off. He was disastrous against Chelsea for example. So I'd actually say that his decision making so far has been a weakness but this can also mean that he's not been in the perfect position for him as well. I can imagine he'll end up as more of a #10 with his physique and tackling coming as a bonus than the classic box to box or holding midfielder. He's not as refined on the ball as some other AM talents, though. Very unique profile.

I believe he has privileged physical-technical conditions.

I was very skeptical about him and didn’t really understand why we got him.

Played a fantastic game today on both ends of the pitch. Early days and all that.

We have 4 midfielders who can power through from box to box. Love it.

Farmers’ league. We all know how deceptively good players look in the bundesliga. He’s now gone to another farmers’ league. He’s never looked anything special in Europe or for England.

Who didn’t watch him run the championship at 16?

You didn’t see 2 MoM performances against Man City in the Champions League for Dortmund?

Wow! Salty guy!

Will have to keep watching him I guess to see what people see. He gets these lucky bouncy goals and people gush about how nice the goals are and I keep scratching my head.

He fits the stereotypical number 8 than 6. Which means he can be a star there.

I thought Messi was lucky, and there was no way he would be able to keep up with Ronaldo.

At some point, you have to give in.

There is a saying that you create your own luck. Applies to every walk of life. This also applies to people saying Ronaldo got "lucky" with tap ins.

The transfer I regret us missing out the most on these last few years. Very special for me.

Potential to be the greatest English midfielder of all time, and the best of his generation. Ridiculous player, how does he adjust that easily?
