He was fantastic against Everton, and without much impact at least appeared confident when brought on midweek. I think he might be one that just clicks under Amorim

His chest control was superb, but I don't remember him having elite close control
 
He is a very patchy player who looks good one match and then can’t trap the ball to save his life. His performances against big teams with strong CBs have been extremely poor (against Liverpool and Arsenal looked lost). Plus his work rate is awful. Once him and Rashford came, our team became too easy to play against despite them being fresh which more me is more concerning, because lack of effort is something unforgivable at this level.
 
Passes like he has 20 kg stone attached to his leg. So lazy and underhit passes. Movement is slow and lethargic
 
He is not a player you want to bring on when you're chasing the game. Obviously struggles with the pace of the league and this is only exacerbated when he's a sub.
 
Hopefully we don't see too much more of supersub Zirkzee, and chuck somebody with an iota of intensity or urgency about them on instead when chasing a game.
 
I never watched him at Bologna, but hearing about the type of player he was (false 9), I was expecting him to be so much more mobile and be agile enough to turn with the ball. Instead, he's very clunky and doesn't move the ball quickly enough. Not ideal for a player who's meant to make our attack more fluid. Looking a very poor signing right now.
 
He’s utter shite. We’d genuinely be better sticking Maguire uptop.
 
Quite bizarre he's getting criticism today. We had 5 attacking players on the field and he was the only one aside trying to drop deep in the middle and play some bounce passes back or progress it a bit further forward when Forrest were sitting so deep.

I think he deserves a few games in the starting line up with his hold up and all around general play. God we need it.
 
I kinda like him for some strange reason. nothing changed though. still think he's simply too slow to ever become success here, and not just here. there isn't a team I'd want to have him in.

too much of Hojlund I guess.

Immediately played better when Josh came off. He stalled a few attacks tonight because he couldn't make a decision fast enough.
 
As soon as him and Rashford went off we were a million times better, says it all really.
 
Poor but did have one nice touch to bring the ball down and run the ball to win a foul before being brought off
 
25million down the drain (because we can sell him for what he's really worth...10m)
 
I don't want to be harsh but he's a soul destroying player to watch. I can't think of one positive attribute he brings beyond a bit of extra height defending set pieces.

It was either Ten Hag or Ashworth. Both have been sacked.
 
Zirkzee looks like a competition winner. I hope to be proven wrong but he's just Wout Weghorst with a slightly silkier skills. Weghorst is also much better at hold up play. If Hojlund were to be out for any time we'd be absolutely f'd having to rely on Zirkzee for goals.
