Yea!I hope we see an awful lot more of this atrocity of a celebration
The forward line was really fluid and selfless yesterday. promising.

Don't hate the player, hate the gameSo he can mime shooting, but only if his fake invisible gun is a rifle, a pistol, or a shotgun?
I couldn’t tell what type of gun it was because it was invisibleArchery and Boxing are both in the Olympics. Robbie Keane is the man we should be punishing retrospectively.
Rolly polly into the ol' machine gun. He's even appealing to kids with the rolly polly part.
Is the biathlon still a thing? I'll happily join in with bashing the celebration if he replaces it with an attempt at miming shooting while skiing down a mountain.Don't hate the player, hate the game
Well invisible guns definitely aren't part of the OlympicsI couldn’t tell what type of gun it was because it was invisible
But how do you know for sure?Well invisible guns definitely aren't part of the Olympics
Not wanting tens of millions of kids seeing a potential idol acting like he's gunning down people is petty? I mean I guess.
I'm kind of shocked it's allowed. Pretty sure it's banned in the NFL, for example.
Tbh it makes me worry a fair bit about his mentality.
Do you love Harvester and Total War Saga too?People complaining about his celebration I fecking love it. Its brilliant.
I also love Full Metal Jacket, Apolcolpyse Now and Call of Duty. And Grand Theft Auto too.
Harvester in particular, and Star Wars.Do you love Harvester and Total War Saga too?
And they were also complaining when he didn't do it for months!!
Shocking choice of scranDo you love Harvester and Total War Saga too?
I'm not attacking him, I just think that it's an incredibly asinine thing to get upset about. He’s just explaining his argument, no need to attack the man
I think triggerless weapons are ok. Blowguns, spears, katanas, orbital cannons and but not limited to nuclear launches. If that’s true that’s crazy. So he was sent off for doing a ‘gun’ celebration, and decided the most appropriate response was to adopt a different projectile based celebration, to avoid getting into trouble again?
Edit: couldn’t he have just said it was a crossbow, to avoid the punishment? But then again, would a crossbow even be allowed, as it has a trigger? Where does it all end?!
Pretty sure Cavani's celebration was originally a gun thing and he was pressured into changing it. I think he was sent off in France for it once.
Sounds like Cavani received a trigger warningI think triggerless weapons are ok. Blowguns, spears, katanas, orbital cannons and but not limited to nuclear launches.
Exactly. I hope JZ pulls out a waterpistol next time or adopts a Haaland buddhist pose for world peace.I think triggerless weapons are ok. Blowguns, spears, katanas, orbital cannons and but not limited to nuclear launches.
In the Serie A team of the year! Congratulations!
Gregg Wallace would like a wordShocking choice of scran
Presumably for the 23/24 season with Bologna. Is this a calender year award?
To be fair I don’t like rap, but that sounded particularly silly to meIt's the new Kendrick Lamar, one of my favourites on the album!
Friendly slap in the face... mmmmmmTo settle this debate, all pre planned goal celebration look stupid
Run around aimlessly like mad man and hug each other… maybe a friendly slap in the face and get back to business
(Only exception that team from island I think)
Read the thread properly dude, cutting throat does not involve pulling triggers. Here's a thought, How come this celebration is seen as controversial yet Hojlund's against bodo/glimt is not even considered? I know he was paying hommage to a movie but still, he literally gestured the cutting of someone's throat.

Glorifying violence is the crux of issue and I would argue giving the UK's knife crime problems, that's a relevant point.Read the thread properly dude, cutting throat does not involve pulling triggers.
You do realise that the celebration is over 30 years old and is actually a homage to the original creator in Gabriel Batistuta? Not wanting tens of millions of kids seeing a potential idol acting like he's gunning down people is petty? I mean I guess.
I'm kind of shocked it's allowed. Pretty sure it's banned in the NFL, for example.

I didn't actually know that, and it changes my view, so thanks. Any references to Batigoal are of course welcome. You do realise that the celebration is over 30 years old and is actually a homage to the original creator in Gabriel Batistuta?

It’s absolutely nothing new and definitely open to interpretation because many definitely don’t see it as you have.

The world has changed quite a bit in the intervening time, so references can be misconstrued; there used to be someone who did a bazooka celebration, I think it was(?) and things like that would have more scrutiny on them now even if innocent references to video games, movies or TV.I didn't actually know that, and it changes my view, so thanks.
