So frustrating, you can see what he's trying, first touch is good and can hold up so does the difficult bits well but can't pull off the simple passes, and you know he's got it in him, but just so lax.

It was from the rebound. After it hit Branthwaite it bounced down and hit another defender (might have been Young) on the arm. Still not a penalty as it was close range and in a natural position but of course our players are going to claim for it in that situation.He was genuinely claiming handball from that header that hit Branthwaite fully in the face?!

He has good feet for a big man. That's all I can say for him. Not a striker, not an attacking midfielder, nowhere near athletic enough for the pace of the Premier League. I can see him going to a slower competition and thriving ala Antony. Not in England though.

Like I said before, his best position is on the feckin coach.
He was horrific for the first 15 minutes where everything went wrong. After that he was hit and miss for the rest of the match, and by 'hit' I mean some nice touches and passes but still nothing actually dangerous. The ball to Garnacho for the final chance was decent though.
I don't think his performances was as bad as Hojlund in this instance but Zirkzee is playing ahead of time too much.
He's playing passess into areas where the team mate hasn't run, to some extent it's good to have anticipation as a player but you can't use it every time you make a decision. He needs to lift his head up and look, then make a judgement.
He deserves more time between him and Rasmus, either way a new forward needs to be purchased as a priority.

I thought He had a very good 2nd half, his control in tight spaces is awesome.

Weird fecking player. Can’t make a 5 yard pass at all (67% accuracy today) but can manoeuvre himself out of the tightest situations and can glide past players.

He only outlasts Hojlund because he can control a football in the AM position. That's how dire our options are.

His final third involvements tend to be pretty hopeless most of the time. Nice touch but don’t think we have room for a luxury player at all, if he even is that.
