Jose Mourinho Sack Watch

He has to be going now. Absolute joke of a manager and I cannot fathom why people want him at United. How can you moan about LvG playing boring football but pine for the master of shit on a stick football?

He never stays anywhere for very long, only seems to be happy when he can throw money at all of the problems, has an abysmal record at bedding in youth, and seems to have no idea what to do in a crisis other than act like a child until he gets sacked or quits.

He's cracking up

Ugh, that was cingeworthy. Hard to watch.

Also - I obviously don't know if he believes what he's saying in there, but how can he say that they had at least 50-50 of the game after the goal? The performance was pitiful, choosing to only sit back and defend against an average Liverpool side, after scoring in the 4th minute. There was no faith in his players, or any willingness to try and win the game. It was classic Mourinho, and has cost him so many times in the current stint at Chelsea.

Just saw the result. don't know how to feel tbh, I don't like liverpool winning but seeing mourinho struggle like this makes me very happy nevertheless.

I would rather keep Mourinho then the players. The players should be held just as accountable IMO and should be gone regardless of manager.

Solanke has 3 goals in 8 games so far, coming into his first season in a proper men's league in a new country for the first time with new teammates. The kid is absolutely clinical regardless of age.

Baker has been a mainstay in that Vitesse team and has been one of their main creators on the ball. He absolutely has been as good as Traore who struggles at the beginning if his loan last season.

Also, I would rather Christensen playing and developing with Chelsea, building a partnership with Zouma for future seasons then playing for Gladbach. He was also great against Man City in the Champions League.
If it was just one or two players it would probably be okay. You cant get rid of Matic, Fabregas, Oscar and Hazard all at one go. Let alone JT.

Every Chelsea supporter loves Mourinho but at the end of the day if its a choice between him and JT. The result will be clear and one sided.

Terry is past it. Loyalty to him has damaged both Jose and Chelsea.

You should have bought Otamendi instead of City, or someone like him.

"Jose, what's with the top button undone and that right collar of your shirt? Do you think that's acceptable"

"I cannot say, you tell me. If I say I'm in trouble. You're not in trouble. I will give you 5% of personality, and you write. I will get Abramovich to give you 5% of Russian gas profits, and you write what you think is correct.""I think its clear, you all need glasses? Are you facing me or facing the wall behind?"

"If Klopp comes in a tracksuit, do you write about him? Do you punish him? No, its clear. You need to write, you are all intelligent"

"I will go home to a sad family. A sad wife who thinks her husband's collar is her fault. Its not fair. Ok thank you"

BREAKING NEWS ON SKY SPORTS!!!!!!!!

"Mourinhos position not under 'immediate' threat"

Carlos phone must be on silent.

His interview on BT was even funnier, he didn't answer any of the questions. He's completely lost the plot.

I know he's been shite with the doctor situation etc, but it's not fun to see someone breaking down in public. Definitely losing it...

Thought he might have got a draw today.

I reckon they wont sack him until the end of the season and then replace him (maybe Pep). He's not going to get them relegated and why bother getting another interm manager if they are waiting for a big name replacement.

Well in Chelsea's defence, they did bid over £35m for John Stones.

I actually feel sorry for him. I don't understand why managers have to attend these press conferences. It just seems to be journalists trying to wind up people who are actually working by asking stupid and/or impossible questions. The only time anything interesting happens is when they lose their cool and snap at them. That said, he's used it to his advantage in the past so he can't really complain now.

They have to attend because they're part of an industry that's fuelled by media interest, speculation and sensation. Said media pump billions of pounds into this industry and therefore have a huge control over the key stakeholders, with managers being part of this. Said managers build their reputation by how they conduct themselves before the said media. The more skilled managers manage to use the media for their own benefit either by bigging up their own contribution or distracting attention from their team's inadequacies. You see, it's a two way street. The tail wags the dog - the dog wags the tail.

They just blew it in the summer, put everything on Stones in the firm belief they would get him, and seemed to have no viable back up plan, they also inexplicably signed Falcao, Pedro might be ok I suppose but there's no guarantee, they invested horribly.

Mourinho has flogged Lukaku, Mata, De Bruyne recently for a combined £82 million, if he'd kept them all and not bothered with Cuadrado, Remy, or Pedro, then they'd 'only' be about £22 million worse off and in a far better place.

People can say what they want about United selling lot's of players recently, but I can't think of one that has improved since they left, Mourinho was just too aggressive in selling players for big money, and ended up flogging some that they walk into their team right now.

One of the interesting things (to me at least) is that since he's come back to Chelsea they've had a lot of misses in the transfer market. After a good first summer when they got Willian, Matic, Schurrle & Zouma, in the two summers since they've struggled a bit. Costa has been really good and maybe also, if we're being generous, Fabregas, based on his 4 or 5 months of good form when he arrived, the rest: Cuadrado, Remy and Filipe Luis haven't done much of note. This summer they've taken Pedro, Rahman, Begovic, Falcao, Kenedy & Djilobodji, all of whom have been downright shit/pointless, a bit underwhelming, or are for the future.

Obviously Mourinho seems to be working under a sort of Director(s) of Football recruitment model and in an era where Chelsea have been more conservative with money, but in the past he's always been able to buy his way out of trouble with really astute signings. Of late, they've not been able to properly plug the gaps, much less improve the side substantially, which is bound to make his job all the harder.

All three of them wanted to leave. Chelsea could not do anything to stop them from going, if forced to stay against their will they would have poisoned the dressing room and Chelsea wont even have won the title and the cup last season.

Sorry but that's just not true, if they were unhappy then that was only because of how they were treated, if they'd been played and trusted then they'd have been quite happy to stay, plus Mata and De Bruyne wouldn't have poisoned anything, Lukaku maybe would have thrown his toys out, but he was just a kid when he was there so no one would a take any notice anyway.

It's funny how Chelsea fans refuse to criticise Mourinho for how he treated Mata and De Bruyne.

Remember when Mourinho was right to get rid of Mata because Oscar was better? :wenger:

Disagree with this. The players we haven't signed have been more disappointing than the ones that we have.
Cuadrado was a disappointment but wasn't really given a proper chance. Remy has been pretty good given he almost never plays but is reliable enough when he does. Luis also didn't get too much of a chance mainly due to how good Ivanovic and Cesar both were last season. If he had stayed he would be starting this season 100%.

This summer the jury is still out for Pedro, Rahman will be first team in a couple of months I imagine. Begovic is possibly the best back up in the league and was a good signing. Falcao was awful, Kennedy looks incredible and is really exciting. Djilobodji is a myth.

Don't want him here at all and personally think he's a bit overrated but there aren't many managers of his caliber. Chelsea would be wise to stick with him and not panic sack their manager for a change.

I hate him so much that I'd love seing him being tarred-and-feathered leaving town.

And if that doesn't happen, then I hope he'll end up coaching in Switzerland. Which is very close to sports hell, just more comfortable.

DeBruyne was giving out interviews every day before being sold. He was clearly not happy being behind Oscar and Mata. What was done was the best end to the story maybe apart from putting in a sell on clause while selling him.

Lukaku was throwing big words even while still on loan at Everton. He wanted to be ahear of Costa which was again a foolish expectation.

Mata is the only one that was slightly sensible about it. I think selling Mata was more about the huge amount of money. Also, it is still debatable whether or not he is better than Oscar.

Meh, I reckon he's a decent fella if you have a 1-on-1 conversation with him but he was ranting so much the past few weeks that I cannot feel sorry for the guy.

A brilliant manager going through a very bad patch. I'm struggling to see our who our next manager is going to be at the moment. If LVG doesn't improve us significantly I don't want his third year tbh.

One of the best in the business and we should have got him when Fergie retired. A few crap results don't mean anything.

Results are the main issue but even when you do judge him on other things (e.g. bringing through young players, quality of football, his behaviour) he's basically ruled out of the United job and rightly so imo.

If JoeSay and Chelsea part ways this year, he should really take a breather and maybe look at a national team job - Portugal, Brazil, England etc.
