His fans will point at statistics and say "if city didn't have such a great season....", but there have been too many of this type of performances this season to ignore. Some we won undeservedly or narrowly drew, some we lost deservedly and embarrassingly.

Which would be correct to do.

I'm not sure how much longer can i watch his football before i apply for my next coaching certificate just to show i can do better. Don't even know what i am saying, i'm so bored of this.

No urgency. No nothing.

Just pathetic and we seen so many of these performances.

He doesn’t work on set pieces defending or attacking. So what the feck do we do in training?

Modern day Capello. Had his time and was absolute class when it was but games passed him by unfortunately.

Sack him sack him sack him sack him.

Seriously. I feel like Mourinho has absolutely no bearing on our comebacks. Last week in the 2nd half was probably purely on the players deciding to do their own thing and go all out for the shirt, not for Mourinho. How we start every game shows how Mourinho tells them to play. We never start off games well. Always shit or lucky bounces to put us through.

The sooner Mourinho leaves, the sooner we can all be optimistic about us again. Yeah, it's another managerial change, but we aren't getting anywhere with Mourinho. He'll leave us a better squad then the one he took over, but we can start looking forward to our performances instead of this soul destroyingly boring football we see every week.

He has turned us into game raisers. Beat Chelsea, Liverpool, Man City and lose to West Brom.

Not good enough, the club should be looking for a replacement just in case our results drop off a cliff next season.

I'm off this train. Earlier in his career he did a lot with little, now he does little with a lot.
Wow, this is a really big shift. It's incredible because you have always been consistent in your defense of Jose. I hated this but your attitude was commendable.

Can you say what really caused this big change of mind?

Just feck off. We don't need a summer of buying 30 year olds for short term gains. China, Portugal... I don't care. Go and grind out a living elsewhere you miserable coward.

He’s inherited a bunch of clueless bottlers. Everyone was lauding his team selection 2hrs ago and now you’re all calling him anti-football and he must go. This place and some of it’s members are so fickle and clueless! The players should be taking responsibility for today not Jose.

Allegri, Potchetinno, Tuchel or whoever.

I’m so bored of this type of football.

I think we peaked at around 27.5% after the Sevilla game. Eagerly waiting to see if the Caf can pass it.

I was hoping we would kick on from last week & finish the season strongly but today was a performance we’ve seen too often. Abject, slow, no tempo & resorting to long balls in the end.

The tactics are strange. You can see what style of play Pep, Klopp & Poch want from their teams but 2 seasons in & it doesn’t appear Jose has any idea what he wants. Really disappointing with all the attacking quality, we struggle time & again to create chances & play entertaining football.

I don’t see him changing & next season will be more of the same.

Terrible main lineup today that wasted 45 minutes, accompanied by terrible management of second half. He has to be blamed today that's for sure.

The difference between him and Pep is pretty stark. Jose has lost his mojo.

Genuinely don't think we would've been worse off under Poch, LvG, or Rafa over the past two years.

It’s not one or the other. Both sets are at fault.

Well, at least our struggles aren't anywhere close to those of Arsenal. Mourinho is still a better manager than Wenger and should he stay, at least we finish in the top four...right ?

Not sure if this was Moyes or Van Gaal level of embarassment, even the Sevilla performance at OT was better than this

How they train all week and Jose comes to the conclusion of having Rashford, Martial and even Lingard on the bench whist Mata plays on the wing is completely mind boggling.

I’m not just blaming Mata they were all shit but he always seems in the way. Wank on the wing and too slow and infective through the middle he needs selling he’s taking up a spot in the squad he doesn’t deserve.

This isn't based on today as I've held the third option in the poll for quite a while now. But if we ignore the style of play for a second, I don't think that Sanchez, Martial and Lukaku are (talent wise) are behind Jesus, Sane and Sterling. I don't think that Pogba's talent is that far off KDB/Silva's. Or Matic's off Fernandinho's. De Gea is better than Ederson, Bailly is not much worse than Kompany, Rojo is probably better (talent wise) than Laporte. Our fullbacks, fair enough they're miles behind.

We've got so much talent in this squad, it's not being used and it's not being motivated. That's the bottom line. Too many supposedly 'bad days at the office' for it to be purely by chance.

Credit to Mourinho though, we've had a good season with great wins against City, Liverpool, and Chelsea recently. I just think we should be doing better.

The only worry is, if we sack him then who do we hire who is better? Also if he gets sacked for potentially 'winning the FA Cup' and finishing 2nd then when do we start to become another trigger happy club like Chelsea and Real Madrid?

He's back!

The halves this season where we've looked like we know how to play football have been less numerous than the converse.

I will say though, not sure what he could do about yet another 'typical' match from some of our players:
Sanchez: Takes 5 touches when 1 would have done
Smalling: Believes it's illegal to play a ball in front of a teammate
Matic: Utterly, utterly useless past the half way line. Good in his own box, like the assist.
Lingard: Did all the running, none of the football
Young: A 32 year old winger playing at full back, who for some reason refuses to cross
Pogba: Likes to do the tricky things, doesn't do any of the important things
Mata: Would be a great footballer if he was a bit bigger, a bit faster and a bit stronger. But he isn't.

Your laughable. Pep had the best team already and spent more then anyone in the league. He hasn't done anything significant, he's not a genius.

No one would do better with this team than Mourinho.

We lost to one of the worst team in premier league history. It’s as bad as anything LVG or Moyes achieved.

They're a personification of he himself. He's moulded this side into what it is.

Pathetic subs from Jose today, leaving on Mata while he was the worst player on the pitch, Lingard on at half time was pointless also. I seriously doubt we will be good enough to win the title next season, no signs of even being close enough.

Works well for Madrid. People should grow a pair honestly, sick of hearing same line recycled again and again “who’s better out there?”.

I think it's actually the opposite. We are game raisers, with an inferiority complex. Struggle to impose ourselves against smaller teams, but against top teams we can put in world class performances.

This display was unforgivable, along with the Sevilla result.

I've backed him for most of the season, but today it was clear that he's lost the hunger he had when he managed Chelsea in his first spell.

He's not a United manager, sadly.
