Get rid of the fraud that is Mourinho. He cant coach, he can only buy an army. You get what you deserve when you claim to be faultless while the players are childish.

This squad isn't Real Madrid where a manager is needed to put the pieces together of a great squad.
At least 50 percent of our squad needs to go, they're not half talented enough for it to always be the managers fault.

This one's on him though. Decision to start Zlatan was poor. We can't counterattack. And why play Rojo in CB in this form. Just stick Lindelof and Jones at CB, Shaw and Young at FBs. If Young is tired, play Darmian or Blind, even they are better than Rojo at this point.

He's had two summers and £300m worth of transfer fees to deal with that. If 50% of the squad isn't good enough the fault lies with the man managing them for 2 years.

I wonder that performance against Burnley are also player's fault? Pogba and Lukaku, our marquee signing looks second-rate in the first half. Wonder if Jose would grow up and assume responsibility, instead of constantly shifting the blame.

Also our set-pieces, a clear example of manager's preparation and work are awful. We concede from them regularly, but i can't remember the last time we scored not from a direct strike, but from a cross. The last time was probably against Leicester when Rashford scored from the corner.

He's lost it.

His tactics seem outdated, his formations arent effective and his substitutions leave a lot to be desired. What annoys me most is that we play awful attacking football despised all our talent. Relying on individual talent rather than an actual style of football.

I like him and he's a good manager but we need to have an actual plan for the next few years, he'll leave and we'll be back to searching for a manager with a new style to completely implement. I'd rather we be proactive.

We’re having a dip in form. It happens to most teams. People need to stop losing their shit. We always get a few shocks, each year. It’s part of football. If we won every game - the whole bloody game would pointless and boring.

Agreed. He's had time to invest, but he's also had that same time to at least try to create a style of football. Don't think he's done much attacking wise but rely on Pogba and our attackers

@DWelbz19
Not in my opinion, this squad could take 2 more summers to sort out, Jose taking this shower to second looks better and better to me with each passing game.
Maybe they'll open their training plan emails tomorrow morning, I still can't believe how they hung Van Gaal out to dry on that one.

Big mistake he made was just adding Lukaku in the summer from attacking sense.

Not a sure thing that is where we will finish.

For those touting second place as the judgement criteria...I'd wager a fair amount we'll no longer be there by Feb :(. Will be interesting to see if the narrative changes at that point.

This, feking this.

There's still every chance he could take us to another finish outside the top four.

We're shit and nothing he's trying is working. Not ideal is it.

It's not just the dull football either, we're shit at some really basic stuff.
- can't defend set pieces
- can't take corners
- can't/won't play quickly on the deck
- never win penalties as we don't get into those positions

A lot of that stuff is the same as under LvG.

@Kevin
Nah, Spurs might make a run but everybody else is in our position.
Chelseas attacking problems are worse than ours, they're my tip for 4th.

Whether it'll be Jose or someone else down the line, whoever takes this team forward needs to do major surgery on the backline, keeping Bailly and start from scratch with a new back four. There are obvious positions that need immediate addressing if we want to achieve anything this season, but long-term we need a back four that's reliable and can generate consistency.

How many times have people (myself included) gone back and forth on their opinions on Smalling, Jones, Rojo?

I'm not sure it's possible to be so brutal in operating on the squad as to get rid of half the squad, but we have half a squad that's devoid of consistency and that is quite possibly the most important quality for a team that wants to win things.

Then there's the question of whether or not Jose is starting to completely alienate the squad. I for one am still firmly in the Jose camp.

The difference is how we react to it. We lost to a championship side and then we comeup with these sort of performances in a week!.

This isn't a dip in form. This is the widening of the cracks.

Would have been fine had the team actually looked like a cohesive attacking unit. It's funny how we're joint 2nd top scorers yet for a lot of the game we look clueless in the final third.

Tbf he tried to add players like Griezmann and Perisic.

Yeah there’s more than two attackers in the world dear. Griezmann granted is worth waiting for. Perisic is 28, we won’t be back for him again next season. So surely you have a plan b.

Perhaps the most overrated manager around. Still a good manager but he's looking more and more outdated at the very top with each passing season. Can't really use the squad quality as an excuse either, especially after he decided to spunk 75+15m on a donkey as our main striker for the foreseeable future. Add to that he has completely lost his charisma. Looks and sound miserable all the time.

Get rid of him, who cares. No manager will sort us out, we’ll just have a continual merry-go-round of various managers who will have a good first 6 months and then the fans turn on him. Problems are structural within the club and we need a bottomless pit of money to compete at the level we want to compete at.

In a normal scenario and with a typical coach, that seems reasonable, but with Mourinho, one just have to look at the history .

What excuse will he come up with for this performance?

Even if we win 5-2 this is agricultural football and embarrassing considering the huge amounts of money we've spent.

I never wanted him as manager and think he'll go down as an absolute disaster.

There is no point in signing players for the sake of it.

Chelsea look miles better than us in attack. We’d love Hazard, Morata or even William in our team. They just been guilty of missing way too many chances.

He has to cheer up more. I know these are small things but sometime you represent the squad and this gloomy looking Jose is getting on my head. I like him and don't want him to go but he is the last person I would trust to save a sinking ship. Conceding 2 late goals was a start of this and now Jose is undermining the concequence. Go and buy some players and Ffs be ruthless. There is no guarantee you would get a 3rd season if we are again back to fighting top 4come end of the season. Sort it out jose
