Rojo, Blind, Bailly, Lindelof. That list is pretty bad, especially since Lindelof is the best of these lads and still nowhere good enough to start for us.
Agreed, although Blind wasnt bought to replace Evans, but got transitioned there. 14m for Blind wasnt the worst business, and he did well at times as LB, DM and CB.
The others horrid. And well, Maguire for that price, yes, we could have just kept Evans. But the issue is a bigger one in terms of signings we make.
Same with selling Rafael. His replacements (darmian, AWB, Dalot) arent exactly huge upgrades.
We just waste money, and if we had a structure about ten years ago, and set style we wanted to go for, we would defo be in a better position regardless of who our owners were (although the issue being the owners meant we couldnt have that structure to ensure we didnt waste money like we have).
