Hey I wish I was 29. And he's barely used his legs for 4 years, heck he's never played regularly, he might have 6 years left at his top level, and several more after that.So young!
It's £80k
Childish on occasions – yes. Cringeworthy sometimes – yes. Annoying – yes. But the sheer venom from some on here always amazes me. Never really took to him myself, but that doesn’t mean I wish him ill. Think it’s probably a good move for both him and Forest. And I don’t buy this he’s a crap player – not United level, but he’s nowhere near as bad as some make out.
i will.18 months without a goal/assist and now plays for a team just come from the championshipHe was consistently fantastic for West Ham when he went there. I don’t think anyone can deny he’s a decent footballer. His personality is just not to everyone’s liking. I agree that he doesn’t act his age though, and I think that’s what annoys most people.
Hope you do well and Lingard smashes it for you, mate!Just a bit of perspective on Lingard from our point of view now the dust has settled. Firstly, what ever his previous, he’s got a clean slate now. In terms of money, it will cost us £6-6.5mil for the year (the upto £125k pw seems to be the accepted figure) which is a bargain and not much of a gamble. Obviously the social media thing can be annoying for us older fans but if it means a generation of kids in Nottingham and beyond buy Forest/Lingard shirts instead of City/Liverpool/Chelsea then thats brilliant.
it’ll also mean the possibility of the first Forest player in the senior england team since Stuart Pearce. What is most satisfying is the “Good to see plucky old Forest back nostalgia fest” narrative is being replaced by “who do they think they are - hope they get get relegated”. Our first home game is West Ham - it’s going to be feisty!

This is a Very Normal Post.I wanted you to do well but now i want you to get smashed every game in which this prick lingard gets minutes. Hopefully he smashes in a few own goals for good measure.
Stores? An anagram of ROSSET would be the answer
Lingard does not play for United anymore.
The reaction of some morons on here borders on the bizarre and psychotic.
He is gone for good now. Good riddance, and let it stay that way.
What do we do about this?
There is a lot of inside info from West Ham, going back months, that Lingard was demanding £180k a week. West Ham's offer was apparently £150k a week; even that seems unwise to me.
The breakdown will be £80k a week basic salary + £5m sign on fee split over the course of 1 year (length of deal) so £180k a week.
There is no way Lingard rejects a permanent deal at Newcastle last January, rejects an offer from Everton, rejects West Ham, to sign for Forest for £80k a week in total. Even this summer, Newcastle pulled out because Lingard's financial demands were considered excessive.
At some point several years ago, Lingard clearly decided he would leave United on a free transfer in order to maximise his earnings. He has been willing to sacrifice playing time just for this moment. Forest met his financial demands, no other PL side did.
It all seems astonishing to me but you only need follow the timeline to see what has happened. Once Bruno Fernandes arrived, that was the time to leave, either in that same January transfer window if possible, or more likely the following summer, especially after spending months as an unused sub.
Should make an animatronic that dabs whenever someone walks past.I would absolutely love for them to put up a JLingz statue next to the Brian Clough one. Two legends of the game standing side by side

Absolutely can't stand Lingard. Entitled horrible rat
