Jesse Lingard | Seoul singer

He took some terrible decisions and nothing went acc to plan. He should taken a smaller contract and joined a club on a longer deal, instead he went to NFO for a rumored 180k pw contract and now no one will touch him. He been out of it for 6 months and if he does not get picked up in Jan then i fear his career is over. Its a bit sad though, im not a fan but he could still do the job in a lower PL side but he needs to realize he is not worth 100k pw

Is it me or is there a higher number of these idiots now? Seem to want all that goes with being a rich footballer without doing what's needed to sustain it or be as good as possible. Sancho, lingard, pogba, all cut from the same cloth

Mad that we never sold him to West Ham when his stock was astronomically high with them.

United seemed to have some collective of them.

Yes we seem to have compeltely inverted whatever philosophy ferguson took towards a) recruiting and then b) developing players to become real professionals. Pogba, if he was anywhere near as good as some claim, would have become a fantastic player under ferguson

There is probably a team for him in the Premier League, but it wont be for 100k + a week.

Probably holding out for Saudi club. Thinks he is too good to play for 30k a week, like Ross Barkley at Luton.

Spot on.

DDG hadn't been good enough for at least 2 seasons by the time he left, with some huge games bottled even earlier. You can never doubt his attitude though, his game had just declined. No shame in it.

Lingard, Pogba, Martial, Sancho, Di Maria - the list goes on and on. We've signed some absolute melts since SAF left. Its rare exceptions like DDG, Hererra and Mata (seems I have a thing for Spaniards) who I actively want to do well after leaving us.

Loving the two footer from Scholesy.

Herrera? Seriously?

Ridiculous decision and not even one we can look back on and blame hindsight. Also a mad decision from Lingard to take the 1 year contract at Forrest.

Herrera? Seriously?
What's wrong with Herrera? Good player, always left it all on the pitch, seemed a good character. He's one of the few players since SAF left that would have fit into one of his teams well.

I was always a big fan of his.

Has he spun any more waffles recently about how leaving United made him sad?

Apparently he’s ’offered himself’ to Barcelona:lol:
That’s okay. I also offered myself to Margot Robbie after being rejected by every 3/10. You’ll never get a slap in the face if you don’t even ask.

He doesn't strike me as the type to invest wisely, the Forest contract was worth 10m, it's basically a lotto win for most people. Funnel 60% of it into low cost ETFs or buy a pile of rental properties at a 50% leverage and it builds enough wealth for a comfortable life forever. He probably wasted it on clothes, cars and watches. I've much more respect for someone like Ross Barkley.

A whole season without playing for a club and with no injuries seems like a pretty strong sign to maybe retire or at the very least acknowledge you’re not playing at the top echelons of football anymore and you’re basically down to Saudi League or MLS at best.

Who the feck is going to sign you when a whole host of younger, hungrier players who came on the scene are out there and did a lot more than you did the past season?

I wouldn't be shocked to see him rock up at Wrexham at this rate.

10m is enough to simply have it in normal bank accounts to cruise the rest of your life out.

Allegedly he’s as of last night got out the contract with his agents - seemingly his family. He’s desperate to play football and it less concerned about money. Maybe his family were the ones chasing money?

He's a great actor I'll give him that.

He has literally no reason or motive to lie about loving playing for United.

You and some other idiots on here just decided to get twisted up in this irrational need on the caf to hate every player that play for us.

Sorry , I don’t understand .

In all seriousness, that probably wouldn't be the worst choice he could make.

With the exposure he might even get to revive his, ahem, brand.

Personally am soo glad to see lingard struggle for the last few years. A very average player who began the brand mindset that took over at manutd...martial, rashford, pogba..every player wanted to be a brand but had done nothing in the game. He began this nonsense trend of players releasing statements to counter the manager. They only release statements when at manutd. As soon as they get to Westham or wherever, these brothers are silent.

At manutd he was releasing dance videos, fifa videos blah blah blah...now with no club he is releasing workout videos. An absolute joke of a player.

And then he consistently complained about not playing at manutd.. forgetting he wasn't actually that good. He went out on loan, was rescued by moyes and then ditched him to go sit bench for more money.

Lingard is the latest example of very average footballers who believe the hype. Lingard, delli ali, sancho, martial etc are very very average footballers who get lost in hype after a few games. When everything has disappeared they turn around and blame social media pressures and depression. Martial is another one. He became so humble after the failed sevilla loan, even he couldn't believe how bad he performed. I have zero pitty for such lousy players...martial has not completed 90 minutes in 4 years. These are the kind of players we should just terminate.

They wouldnt even be known in Fergusons time. Seeing lingard struggle to even get the saudi deal is beautiful to see. Joker of a player. Same joy with seeing De gea after he turned down 200k to be second choice here and then just see every top club completely ignore him. He has to accept even less than we offered or retire. Good riddance for both.

Agree with you there, although to be fair to Martial, he strikes me as more of the Phil Jones type.

Almost always injured, rarely available but stays quiet in the background and neither dabbles in brands nor is obsessed with social media profiles.

I don't get the whining about players on social media. It's such old fashioned moaning. You can bet they'd have said the same things about Ronaldo or Beckham getting involved in things outside football back when they were young.

Do you really think Lingard's daft dancing videos are taking up time In training?

It's silly to include Dele Ali with them.

Martial had his AM9 brand didn't he?

I wonder if any of the brand boys feel embarrassed about them now. Can't imagine any of them are making many sales

Why would they? They get abused by thousands of strangers for a living.

Personally i have no issues with dance videos or fashion. Its not something im very interested in but players can do what they want. What i found annoying about Lingard is that he 'performed' better at his side activities than on the pitch.

Ronaldo and Beckham were world class players when they were on the pitch and also had their other things. Pogba loved dancing and fashion but still showed great things on the pitch from time to time. Lingard didnt score or assist for a year yet launched a fashion brand instead.

Players can do whatever they want in their free time as long as they perform on the pitch. If you arent performing than criticism for those side activities will come. Although i would never criticise Rashford for his charity work where he tries to feed kids but quite a few on this site said he should focus on football instead.

You can't use Beckham or Ronaldo as examples as they were consistently fantastic.
