To be fare to him, he got injured at the wrong time - when he was finally fit we didn’t need him + Danilo was sensatIonal in his position. Probably wouldn’t write him a recommendation letter beyond top bloke to have around the place.

I never really understand millionaires who were caught drink driving. Surely having a personal professional driver to take you anywhere is the preferred method to get from point A to point B outside of footballing needs?

Clearly. If he's fit, he could have found a club at a suitable level, where he could still make a difference. He still only just turned 31. Seems like he's been more interested in finding a big payday than actually playing football.
He's one of those footballers that I suspect might to be broke in 5-10 years. He seems that thick. And I don't think there are obvious paths for him in management, coaching or media.
He barely had the motivation when he was at United.

Why would it be when you like to drive yourself? Especially if you buy fancy sportscars etc that are designed for making driving fun. Of course that depends, you would hire a driver for a Rolls Royce, I don't think you would for a Lamborghini

I don't think so. No motivation anymore. Hardly had any motivation when he played for us. It is like he, Pogba and some few others didn't care about football and it was all about social media, clothes and all that nonsens.
Fairly sure we got offered 25 million for him after his West Ham loan and we made another huge error in refusing it and letting him go on a free after about 10 sub appearances. We are the worst run club in the PL along with Everton and now Chelsea too

I hope we don't go anywhere near him. Luton always look for players that won't have an ego and buy into the team ethos. Townsend for example was a perfect example. No other club wanted him and we gave him a chance... Now he's turning up to U-21 matches to help the youngsters develop and seems very grateful in interviews etc.
Plus, we can't afford the wages JLingz will be looking for.
Ignore the ney sayers on here. He is actually a team player and played a big part in contributing to team spirit as well as keeping the dressing room together last season. It’s just he’ll do it from the bench or the injury table. Jessie was doing exactly as you described Townsend for us last season.

Oh I’m glad they are all gone to be honest. I didn’t like Lingard or Pogba and DDG was finished for years and on way too much. Point stands could have sold all of them for decent fees at one point
There's an argument to be had over whether or not DDG should have been replaced but even a positively decrepit De Gea would not have conceded so many soft goals as Onana.
Mad idea, but instead of having a paid driver, what if there was a way you could just contact a company or a person and you could pay them to drive you to your chosen destination on the occasion that you might need to avoid driving while drinking.

It's a really depressing thing to discuss, and there's always the possibility some incompetent clown at the club to read this and offer Lingard a 3 year contract.
He went literally an entire year, Jan 1 to December 31, without registering a goal or assist for Manchester United, while starting regularly as a number 10 (specifically year 2019) So he has previous for offering less. Because you don't -get- less than zero. It was a stain on the club that he stole a living here as long as he did.
I'd be utterly shocked if any club outside the Championship in England offers him more than a 6month deal. Maybe he could retire off to Turkey.
