Jesse Lingard | Seoul singer

He's dreadful. A prime example of the theory that some players are/were only here because they came through the academy, rather on talent basis

Tore it up at West Ham, knocking on the door for England. Could've pushed for a move there and got a long term contract.

Chose to stay here so he could hang around a team with Ronaldo in it.

Bet on himself with a year long contract at Forest. That's blown up in his face and now the Championship beckons. QPR or Watford if they don't go up, I reckon.

Yep and it's looking like a massive mistake. He should have pushed for a move in 2021 or early 2022 instead of choosing to run his contract down.

Ole told him he’d get game time after West Ham and asked him to stay. I don’t blame him for staying

He was never going to be a starter though, so it was only ever going to be sub appearances, injury cover or matches where we rested the first team. He must have known that and I doubt we’d have desperately tried to hold on to him last year if he’d said he wanted to move.

As I understand it, there was still some interest from better teams than Forest this Summer but he chose to take the money for a season. I don’t think he can really blame anyone else for the way his career is fading out.

Rumours are that forest want to move him on in January..

Thats something... a lot of posters said Lingard would be a good squad player for Manchester United and now Forest wants to get rid of him? He really should never have been at Manchester United for such a long period. At times he was even a starter... now he isnt even starting for Forest.

Did he really though? Has Solskjaer confirmed this?

Regardless of what Lingard may or may not have been promised he didn't push for a move in January either when it was clear he wouldn't play much. So it's clear running his contract down was his plan (which is his right to do).

America's not ready for Jesse Lingard.

He'd have his own late night TV show in a week. He'd be president in a month.

Has any player that we've moved on proved us wrong?

Poor Forest, they have no chance of staying up with him as a starter.

I have it on good authority that he rejected AC Milan because Forest were offering bigger wages. If true, I wonder how he’s feeling right now.

Ofcourse, you were in the meeting when Ole said this right?
“Jesse’s back to his fitness, he played really well in the behind-closed-doors game on Tuesday.

“He’s come back bubbly and in good shape, so he’s got a big part to play.”

Lingard is out of contract next summer and United would reportedly look for a £25million fee if he was to leave.

Ole said that about everyone... He said that about Donny too :lol:

Lingard has earned our contempt, but he’s actually done quite well for himself financially despite his limitations as a footballer and a human being.

I think there was a good premier league level footballer in him but like Ali he got distracted by too much outside of football and became more interested in making as much money out of football as he can

The disrespect to say limitations as a human being? What do you even mean by that?

Some genius at United still offered him a contract that he refused.

Scored - played great and could easily have been MOTM. Got a standing ovation when subbed tonight (due to the Mangala red card). Fair play to he lad.
