The people that continue to pretend that Lingard is getting more stick because we’ve been shite are displaying wilful stupidity.

We could have won the treble last season. This thread would still be full of people saying that Lingard is a bellwhiff (which he is) and that he has all the banter of a dead sibling. He represents the club, whether he (or you) like that or not. He is therefore required to behave online in a sensible manner. He isn’t.

Quite frankly at this point I'd hope he's doing lines of coke as this would somewhat justify or explain his behaviour, rather than being a fecking dumb 27 year old. And yeah, a 27 acting like a 17 or an 18 year old is not normal no matter how much people try to twist it. God it's worrying that adults would somehow try and deem this behaviour normal.

Personally, I couldn't care less that he's acting the fool on his holidays, I'd be more surprised if he wasn't.
The thing I don't get is, surely he must've known that he would get backlash for the video? He must have very little common sense.

If you really thought that’s what I implied then the dumbest post competition just got a new contender.

To infer from a post which was primarily about the way you shouldn’t judge players on goals and assists alone that I was trying to imply two players with comparable goals/assists are equally talented would demonstrate weapons grade stupidity. But you actually went there. Amazing.

People call Pogba the virus but sometimes I fele it is guys like Lingard who are actual virus. Not surprising Rashford's growth has stopped. 3 yeasr ago he was learning from Zlatan and now here he is spending too much time with this man-child.

He was Pogba's best buddy when he first came back, but Pogba now has a girlfriend and baby. He has now latched onto Marcus, his new best buddy.

Thats a great point, when he broke through Marcus was alongside Rooney and Zlatan. Learning from two of the best ever. Now hes alongside that donkey lukaku and hanging with Lingard. no wonder he looks a different player
 
The worst thing is Ole backs "local lads" so we won't be seeing this useless git going anywhere soon. If I was the manager, he'd be the first name on the going out list. Absolutely average player who has no business being in a top team. It's a joke this childish guy is one of the players who played the most games in the last 3-4 years.

He clearly doesn’t care. That’s what that 0.012% thing is all about. He’s one of them that’s made it in football and he doesn’t care what people think of him.

I don’t mind him having a laugh but he’s a role model for the club. Anything he does is labelled with the club’s name. He’s one of the seniors in our squad now. There will be 17/18 year olds looking up to him and thinking that behaviour is acceptable. Yet another player that needs to sold just because of his attitude, and that’s before his limited ability on the pitch.

I wish i could tell if your being sarcastic or not mate. :confused::lol: between this issue and the pogba one, has me a bit confused with some fans mad opinions haha.. I dont loath either of them at all. Just don't want people like this associated with our club anymore. Wether they aren't good enough, or embarrass us with their behaviour.

At the end of the day, i'm sick and tired of the embarrassing element of jokers at Man United United these days. We are literally the laughing stock of football, from the players, to way we are run. This is an element we need to weed out of the club and get back to a professional hard working approach.. and Jesse aint anywhere near good enough to justify keeping around, despite him acting like a 13 year old off the pitch.

And a caller on talk sport earlier hit the nail on the head. You dont see this happening at any other clubs. Especially the big teams. Because there is a level of discipline and respect there. We have been a joke. Some of our lads seemingly think theyre in that '0.012%''and are not bothered by that. Theres youngsters much younger at 19/20, at some of the other top clubs wouldnt think of it acting out of order

Still thought Pogba was more comfortable spending time with Ibra. Lingard always seemed like a third wheel who just was awed with their presence.
 
I think we, as fans, should not be bothered about what the players do off the pitch, unless they are not snorting lines of coke at Trafalgar Square.
Over the last 8 years I see this obsessive behavior where hounding players for any act of theirs is the new In thing. Just let them be who they are. On the pitch, Jesse is as committed to the cause as De Gea or Matic, and that's all should matter.

Taking the content out of it for a second. Perhaps it’s because we’ve had yet another horrific season and to see a player who is very much a part of the reason for that season being so bad having a great time like he’s not a care in the world is a bit grating to some people. No one is saying dont have fun, but maybe don’t rub it peoples faces that you couldn’t give a feck about something they care very much about. And before anyone says “don’t follow him”, I don’t. I’m not on social media at all, and I still end up looking at his smug face at least once a day for all the wrong reasons. Today for example it’s because of this video he did. I got. A news alert on my phone because someone on talksport was talking about him, saying he should be sacked or sold.

That’s my view on it anyway, maybe others have different reasons.

Yes and now our youngsters have no one to look up to and learn. Rashford in this age should be learning from the very best. Ronaldo and Rooney had Scholes and Giggs. Messi had Ronaldinho. Rahsford and other youngsters have Lingard.

Shouldn't Lingard be in the U-21 tournament with England, surely he qualifies as he is one of the "youngsters"?

Sign of the times you don't realise what impact he has on the academy kids...this is what the kids at the academy read and hear about...they don't hear about matic funding stuff in Serbia or mata etc.

Jesse is a pampered princess and very immature. But it doesn't make him not normal.
