I was more surprised at his & Rashford omission from the England squad at the u/21’s Euros tbf. When does a human stop being called "A young person"?

You're not Jesse's dad are you?I'm 27 with a child on the way. I still feel like a young person.
I know it's a bit pedantic getting worked up by some players' social media. But being homegrown and supposedly "gets the club", Lingard surely has to know how fans of Man Utd will feel after such a poor season.
And he's coming of his worst season.
But my dislike for him has always just been about him as a player. Plays in a front three, doesn't turn with the ball, doesn't take players on, doesn't take risks. And as a result has the lowest assist total I could imagine a United playmaker could muster. His lauded movement has been found out by rivals, he doesn't pull players out of position as they seem not worried when he drifts between the lines.
Hopefully he'll fade into a less used, squad player role, I want him sold but that's not looking likely for the next couple of years.
We could be winning treble every season, personally I would never find Lingard funnyHe just sums up the state of the club at the moment. We pay this lad over £100k a week to represent the club.
We wouldn't care if we were successful and he was posting these videos, some would maybe even find them funny. At the same time it's no wonder we're not successful when players like him are the 'leaders' in the dressing room.
Renewals for mature heads like Mata and Young make more sense when you see what Ole is dealing with.
Embarassment, why upload that? What does it achieve? What do the club gain from that ?
I did think this may be the case, but how do you know? The video was uploaded to his private snapchat.
Ageee. He's a 26 yr old lad on holiday with his mates having a bit of crack.I’d say I’m surprised at people getting worked up over such a banal video but nothing surprises me about how self righteous football fans get on social media (and, increasingly, on here) any more.
The G&A stats.

So 12 PL assists and 17 PL goals in 111 appearances. 29 total goals made by him in the loosest sense. Or one in every 3.82 games, so 4 games. A goal or assist once every four games. He is a starter 55% of the time.
People defending him claim he's a squad player; so let's look at other squads and their actual squad players;

We are backing a player who is as productive or less productive than Bobby Reid and Michail Antonio who both play in considerably weaker teams.
Yeah his social media persona is annoying but what's more annoying is because he's a local academy grad, he can put up wasteman numbers and people will leap to his defence or he keeps getting played.
Ignore his social media and look at his actual performances and his numbers. The answer lies there...
Ageee. He's a 26 yr old lad on holiday with his mates having a bit of crack.
He has 6.3 million followers on Instagram
He reminds of 'that lad' everyone had in their class at school who was that small skinny lad who raised their social status by being the biggest mouthpiece around and acting like they were ten feet tall to everyone. More concerned with being the centre of attention/ hard/ popular and class clown than anything else when in a group of people. (everyone had a guy like this at school)
Only difference is at school, someone eventually got tired of this lad acting a bollocks and sparked them clean out, making rethink how they act.
Of course i dont know Jesse. he could be dead sound.. but im just saying that he reminds me of.
Maybe a proper disciplining by the club and future conduct warning would be the KO equivalent.
Andres Iniesta - start rate really fecking high
Loads of Apps
Not many goals
Not many assists
Conclusion: All of the players you just mentioned are better than Iniesta.
Can't be arsed looking up the actual stats because this has been done to death already. Newsflash: Contribution of attacking players can't always be measured in goals and stats alone.
Now I guess I should button down the hatches, in anticipiation of a zillion laughing smilies from eejits who think I just implied Lingard is as good as Iniesta
Hahaha.
Checked the stats and
La Liga 11/12

La Liga 12/13

Could go on but yeah, Iniesta might be better
Poor Carrick. Looks like He was lost in a dark jungle and his phone was a flashlight.Remember this...

More than his mediocrity, his seeming lack of professionalism, and his apparent exploitation of the Man Utd platform, the thing I'm most worried about is the fact that he gravitates toward youth and is seemingly influential to them. That's the major reason I would get rid of him.
We don't want the dressing room culture with Rashford, Greenwood, James, and all our other talented youth in a few years to resemble Lingard's Instagram videos. That would be much harder to get rid of than one man as it is right now.
Agree with this. Do Leicester want him? feck it, we'll give him to Juventus for free.West Ham... can you please take this embarrassment in a swap deal for Diop instead of asking for Martial and McT?
Poor Carrick. Looks like He was lost in a dark jungle and his phone was a flashlight.
It's the club that has indulged average players like Lingard who now believe they're something they're clearly not. I don't rate McTominay highly but admire his attitude and will to succeed at United. The quicker immature and average players like Lingard feck off from here the better it will be for the club IMO.
I'm pretty sure Mason will be advised by his Dad about Lingard.Totally agree, would personally ship Lingard off to anyone crazy enough to buy him and promote Chong.
He showed more urgency, creativity, running/dribbling ability in about 20 minutes than Lingard did all season.
My worry is that Rashford now seems to be falling down the same path, over the last 6 months a lot of things have been coming out about him, his attitude, his ego. Last thing I want is Greenwood falling into this trap.

Agreed, that's why getting rid is very important imo. Sends a message to those who might follow his example, that such behaviour won't be tolerated.
You could also say if a footballer had performed like him last season at a club the size of United they would be worried about being shifted out. He does not seem to have any worries in that department, which is a worry in itself. This says plenty about United. Nobody is particularly bothered about what he did, it is the fact he cannot seem to help himself regards filming every bloody thing he does and thinks people are gagging to see everything he bloody does. If he had shown a modicum of intelligence he would have not done it and we would have been none the wiser. Now it has been all over the radio the whole day.People say he’s 27 but is that really that old to be pissing abut with your friends on holiday? Certainly not. He’s a definite irritant and the way he films everything is annoying but people saying ‘act your age’ and ‘he’s the problem with Manchester United’ are talking rubbish. The reason he’s the problem with United is not his snapchat story but the fact he’s an average footballer.
