This thread baffles me. Was excellent today. His movement off the ball that people seem to think is just pointless runing, was excellent.
Its the reason City score so many. If all our attacking players had his movement, we'd be so much better.

The problem is a lot of people genuinely don't really know what they're talking about.
Amazing performance today. Thought he was clearly our best player from the start. Young scored som great goals, but overall performance was so good from Lingard. Amazing goal as well. Just wish he could be more clinical cause he got so many nice qualities and great movement.

Scholes Just said he is as talented as Mkhitaryan. Might not have seen him play for Dortmund but on the form Miki has shown here don’t really blame him.

Very good. Should have had 2 goals too. That was a poor miss in the 1st half, but he made up for it with a solo stunner.
Finally looked like footballer today , he was better against opposition who played open game , against park the bus team he was non-existent

His best perfomance in a United shirt? Great movement and a great goal as well. He's absolutely a better option than Mata or Mhiki.
To be fair though, Scholes and Rio would still have Rooney upfront if given the choice.
Ok the big question is can he back that goal with another big performance or is he going to go hiding.
While it was a brilliant goal he should have passed it to Lukaku given the situation we were at that time. The probability of him losing the ball and they counter attacking was much more than he pulling a goal like that.

I think that might be his best yeah. I can't recall any better, he was very good against Chelsea at home last season but he was just as good today but with a goal and an assist too.
The big thing he has to do now though is push on. He's had good games before only to not follow up on it and go back into his shell.
