All this talk about Lingard needing many chances is very knee-jerk. Look at his expected goals this season. There is nothing in it that indicates that he is a poor finisher.

Are you blind or just stupid (touché)? You can’t go to games if you think there is nothing to indicate he’s not a good finisher. This is as much time as I’ll waste on you so don’t bother replying if you are going to get personal.

All players miss some chances if they manage to get many chances. Even prime Zlatan. There is nothing about his technique that suggest that he is a poor finisher, and there is nothing to his stats that suggest it either. Easy as that.

Tunisia players could not live with him, especially in the first half. Constant running off the ball an getting down the sides of Tunisia. Could have had a hat trick on another day.

Yeah you know pretty nothing much about football is my conclusion.
 
The overstating of an average performance on here is staggering. Lingard as well as the majority of the England team was anonymous.
 
As much as I don't rate Lingard in United shirt, but he did have a good performance, imho. A lot of penetration and good positioning, made himself open to passes.
It's just Tunisia, but you can only beat etc. etc.
 
I can't wrap my head around some of the screamers he scores then misses sitters. Love watching him play
 
If he ever adds scrappy goals to his repertoire then he’s going to be a very good player to have. His movement is excellent so he’ll always get chances.
 
Have never seen a turnaround quite like the one with Lingard. Went from a really average player to a really good one in the space of one year. It's incredible really.

Okay, fess up - if someone had told you when he was on loan at Birmingham a few years back that he'd score an absolute screamer as England tore apart someone 5-0 in a half of a world cup...yeah.

Still not sure he's top class, but what a moment for a local lad.
 
Lingard mega performances, Lukaku joint top scorer... The quality is very much in our squad.
 
@Raoul notice the absence of a certain poster today? He'll be back when Lingard has a below average game.

If someone would of told me 18 months ago I would have laughed in their face. Such a big turn around.

Sorry to say, I was one of the naysayers. His movement has always been good but the final ball/ finish was very inconsistent. Now that's improved, he's become a very good player.
