£60,000 sounds a fair deal for everyone concerned. For reference, that's approximately what Lucas Vázquez earns at Madrid, and I think they're kind of comparable in terms of relative statures at the club(s). As far as the big picture wage management is concerned - not only in the squad bloated with redundancies, we should definitely re-evaluate the ridiculous wages some of our players earn. It's understandable that Lingard feels miffed by the £60,000 per week proposal when the likes of Fellaini, Young, Schneiderlin earn close to £100,000 per week.how much would you pay for a squad player then? our top players are getting payed 200-250k and most of our rotation players are above 60k....people getting upset about him getting a pay raise and even with that raise he will be one of the lowest payed players in the club
http://www.espnfc.us/manchester-uni...ve-biggest-wage-bill-in-world-football-reportManchester United have the highest wages in world football according to a global sports salary survey, produced annually by the Sporting Intelligence website.
United's first-team squad earn £5.77 million-a-year basic salary on average, which is £110,961-per-week. That is reportedly more than double the average basic first-team pay in England's top division, which is £2,438,275-a-year or £48,766-a-week.

Totally out of sync with our median performances, though some of the figures are admittedly inflated by 3-4 megawage players who won't be around in 2 years.
