What bollocks.
Yup he had a cracker mate...
What bollocks.
Did he fail at City? Are Munich trying to sell him? Was he having a stinking first half?
Don't quite follow sorry, what's this got to do with Spurs?
Have you been in a coma for about 7 years in between his time at City and now?
He has been on the decline, his Munich putting him up for sale.... like I said, you don't do that if they are preforming.
Failed at City moved to Munich and has done well in a weaker league, clearly been found out there too though as they are looking to shift him on.
Well yes, that's not what I'm disagreeing with. Seems like all the injuries over the last few years have resulted in a sharp decline now.
This is complete bollocks though. Considering he was 21/22, they were playing him at right back and he's been Bayern and Germany's best CB while they won a Champions League and World Cup in between now and him leaving City.
He is a charlatan, have no idea how he's played at such a high level for so long with such a shocking attitude
Maybe he'd do well to stop those dumbass attacking runs thenHis attitude is fine, his body has been killed by injuries and he runs like an old man.

It's a crazy tactic, I mean I can understand defenders carrying the ball to break lines but he reaches the pen box and takes ages to get back. It's ridiculousThat's obviously something he was told to do by the coach. He walks around for most of the game, makes a run with the ball every 10 minutes, then takes another 5 minutes to get back into position.

Bayern are trying to find an idiot so that they can get rid of him. Good thing this World Cup is coming now to spoil their plans.
I bet you were a grass at schoolThis is not the performance thread guys
but he was awful again against Sweden. looked clueless positionally, as if he didn't know where he was supposed to go and sweden didn't even have much paceAgain, this seems a little bit harsh. The problem was the fullbacks and Germany being not very tactically astute. On numerous occasions Boateng and Hummels were left to fend for themselves vs three Mexico attackers. It was ridiculous.
what? are you talking about the first game when he was just poor or his totaly inept performance against sweden? no way is he good enough for UnitedHave you seen it? Boateng prevented a goal in the first minute of the match and over the whole 90 minutes was probably the only German outfield player who could claim to have had an acceptable performance.
Regardless of how Boateng is playing right now, he turned into a world class centre back after leaving City for Bayern and even won the World Cup with his country four years ago. I would argue he was one of the best centre backs in the world until about 2015/2016 when he started to struggle with injuries.Failed at City moved to Munich and has done well in a weaker league, clearly been found out there too though as they are looking to shift him on.
He is the german Smalling
He's the exact opposite of Smalling. Slow, good on the ball, and constantly pushing up far too much and then barely bothering to come back.
No he is not Smalling is not this bad .He is the german Smalling

If you're talking about the Sweden game, I'm dead certain that this positioning was some Löw special sauce thought up to crack the swedish defense. Seeing how they besieged the opponent attacking players for example in that decisive match against Italy, he was obviously meant to surprise them with offensive actions because he wasn't man-marked in the same way as the others.I see people talking about speed but it's not the problem, he hasn't been particularly slow. His positioning has been terrible, he is consistently in areas where he should never be, particularly in relation to his partners. He is too high, too wide and doesn't care about marking or controlling his direct opponents.
I agree that Löw tried to be clever about having him as a shadow playmaker. Next to Hummels he is one of the very few top class CBs who are up to that particular assignment in the first place.I see people talking about speed but it's not the problem, he hasn't been particularly slow.
