A lot of these reports coming out now, apparently the Spanish press were all over it last night with them stating:
According to several radios Argentine striker Palermo, Javier Pastore, have reached an agreement with the Manchester team to play there the next season.
Now I don't want to joing the MuppetWagon, but this would be one hell of a coup. We can all dream for now
feck it, great business for Palermo, we were close to getting him ourselves but he preferred the Italian league instead of the Portuguese League + Champions League.
Those in the know on Twitter are laughing at this report.
Work permit + life style could be an issue. Not many Argentian youngsters prefer England anyhow...
Who was the last Argentian youngster who came to England and actually had a long and stable ( Good ) career ?

OMG, Skysports !!!!
Something is definitely on !
"Barcelona approached Palermo asking for a first option on Javier Pastore, allowing Barcelona to equal any bid by Madrid [sky italia via tmw] "
From twitter
Manchester is Red
Lots of money being talked about = we arent involved
He'll end up at Barcelona.
Will he though? Pep seems to prefer promoting from within and its not as if he desperately needs a player in that position. I would assume Barca's main target for the summer will be Fabregas, if they don't get him than maybe Pastore but I'm not sure where he would fit in.
The thing is we could use him on the left against most side, down the middle in our favoured 4-3-3 in tough games and against really weak teams we can surely place him alongside a Fletcher or Carrick. Or whoever we bring in to replace Hargreaves.
I think he'd be a fabulous signing for us if we ever got him.
Is anyone else daring to believe that we might just have Pastore in our team next year?
Naturally more South American players will end up in Spain and Italy becasue its less of a culture shock, but it all depends on the player. Tevez has been great and Mascherano was very good - but probably more to do with the type of player rather than nationality, and both seemed to have trouble adjusting to life in the UK.
All young players are a risk I suppose. Not seen a lot of this kid to be honest but people seem to be impressed and seems all of the big clubs have been sniffing around.
Interesting news if true.

I believe this is going to be this Summers Oezil thread.
He'll end up at Barcelona.
He said he isn't going to a team that he will become a fringe squad player. That rules out Real and Barca. He'll end up at Barcelona.
