As frustrating as he has been it's harsh to criticise him much this season. When we're playing and creating (key point) so little he's probably the one that suffers the most.

He's a poacher. His game is all about his movement and getting on the end of balls in and around the box, which is probably where we've been at our worst this season.

We have too many strikers to be honest. Look at the top teams around Europe and they all have between one and three. Barca have perhaps Neymar/Messi, Bayern have a couple, Madrid have Benzema. We've got four. I love Hernandez but we need to stop playing 4-4-2 and he'll probably be sold.

We have a lot of strikers, but two of the sides you picked (Bayern and Barca, who have Messi) have sometimes played games 4-6-0. They are exceptions, such is the quality they have in midfield. Barca & Madrid have Messi & Cristiano Ronaldo doing the striker's jobs, & Real are supposedly looking to replace Benzema anyway. You do have a point with all that being said, but I think we should still the monitor the situation (as some have said above) because we never know what will happen with Rooney and RVP this summer. Chicharito's situation goes without saying, and the idea of all three gone with Welbeck remaining doesn't fill me with confidence, as big a fan of him as I am.

Welbeck has scored against Arsenal, Spuds, Shitty, Chelsea, Real Madrid in his career. Chicharito has scored against Chelsea, Liverpool.
If you want to use some silly argument in order to undermine somebody's worth, then atleast try to get your facts right before you make yourself look like a tool.
Boom.

 Oh snap.

Welbeck for all his hype and playing time has not scored against big teams. Chicha got us important goals especially against the tougher teams...

Ditto.

So... which team is interested in Welbeck after all ?

Going by some of the comments here surely Real Madrid....

Your insinuation that Welbeck isn't very good because teams aren't interested in signing him is flawed. Here's another way of looking at it:

Clubs are sniffing around Hernandez because they know he is potentially surplus to requirement at United. He is dispensable. He is an import who will eventually be moved on if/when he is unable to become a guaranteed starter - which he will never, ever be at United.

Clubs are not sniffing around Welbeck because they know that he is not surplus to requirement at United. He is indispensable. He is an academy product who embodies the approach of the club, and he is versatile and devoted enough to be a remain a first team player regardless of whether or not he ever becomes a guaranteed starter at United - which he still might.

Good rebuttal to a shit post.

I like Hernandez and think he should have had more game-time this year. I would hate to see him go but it looks rather inevitable.

He's tasted what it's like to be a regular starter here, so can only be beyond frustrating for him.

He's not even started all the games with VP and Rooney out, and is behind Welbeck now.

We'll do well to convince him to stay if neither of the big 2 leave this summer.

He'l be gone in a year or 2. Any good club and he'l be a 30 goal a season striker.

You shouldn't have had to explain something so obvious, but you're bang on regardless. Both Hernandez and Welbeck have many qualities, and both of which will attract plenty of interest if ever they need to leave. In Hernandez' case, for the reasons you outline, his time might be coming.

love chich. saved our bacon many times. hope he stays. he is what he is and he's great at it. I think United uses him perfectly...super sub and occasional starter. he has limitations at this level and hopefully he recognizes it. he may play more somewhere else but maybe that's not the most important thing to him. he may love the role he plays at United.

I was actually supprised Chelsea didn't want him in some sort of swap deal, with the creativity in their midfield he would rack up the goals.

Hernandez is a odd case, on one hand I think if we're chasing a game I would love to see him get on ahead of anyone else and try his chances against a tried back four, but I don't think he has enough quality to start games for us regularly. I appreciate not playing isn't helping get the best out of him but I don't think hes technically good enough to start games.

He's never going to start a meaningful game with the attack we have but he'd be superb off the bench. sadly, he's too good for that.

German newbie says Bild is linking him to Blaszczykowski who tore his ACL a few days ago. Rumour confirmed by journos close to Dortmund. The English media should pick up on it sooner or later. Insert whatever muppetry you like about swap deals and whatnot.

Radio Cadena Ser Spain: Valencia CF have signed Man United's Javier Hernandez on loan.

According to the Metro, Valencia has made a bid.

Don't think this is happening. This story is nonsense.

If this was on SkySportsNews would be all over this like a rash. They've not even blinked an eye at these rumours.

He's one of those rare players in whose case I'm really interested to see where he goes. In the sense that, excluding our premier league rivals, I really want to see him move to a club that is good for him where he can be a huge hit and develop as a football. And usually that isn't the case. Usually I simply dont care about the post United phase of a players career but I really want Hernandez to do very well.

And yes he will go this summer unless Rooney or RVP do.

He reminds me so much of OGS. We definitely need him to score the winning goal in the coming CL final.

i reckon he will do well in spain, and that's the only league in the world i can see him going if he is going to leave united.

i hope he stays with us as long as possible though, while i have to admit his overall game means he is not good enough to be in our first eleven week in week out, he is our best player inside the opponent's six yard area. his movement in there is second to none.

Not well suited to Laliga IMO.

I was in Manchester [earlier this week], I met with the chairman. Javier is considered among the most important players at the club,” his agent, Eduardo Hernandez, told ESPN Deportes.

Chicharito will not leave United within the next six months, but we do not know what will happen after [the World Cup].

There’s been a club in Germany, one in France, two clubs in Spain and two more in Italy that are hoping to count on his services.

We hope that he gets minutes [before the end of the season]. Then, after the World Cup, God will tell us what will be the next step.

Link. The God card has been played.

If he's considered among the most important players, why the hell did Moyes offer him for Guarin in November? I think he's gone and if we sell him just please abroad and not under 18m.

If he goes, for selfish reasons I'd like to see him go to Cardiff, but he's really better than that. Can't see Cardiff attracting that quality of player. Though maybe Ole can. :)

Come again? I'd say he's far more suited to La Liga than the Premier League.
You actually want me to repeat?

I think he'll probably do well in either league but he's patchy, at times, technically and great when games are stretched and played at a high tempo, which leads to believe that the premier league is a better fit for him.
