Not having it. He doesn't hold the ball up, make any space for himself or others with runs, can't pass the ball into him and then work off him. He is a tidy finisher when we are on overload and he can linger in the box. Does nothing to contribute to our attack at all.

You watched a different game today.

Really? I'm getting tired of watching him watching the game. They should just put a camera on his head so he can give better coverage of the game. Every single time he is a passenger. Impact substitute is all he is good for.

Are you sure you're in the right thread?

Why, what did he do today or any other game that he has started? Tell me his average touch per game, let alone pass/attempts/on target ratio? He is really a passenger unless we are going all out attack and he can duck and dive in the box. Nothing sticks to him and almost immediately we are on the back foot when trying to attack. Possession is not just won and lost in midfield but also from those ahead.

If you say so, Money. He is a world beater, eh? Good chat, now post a video composing highlights of him from that game (if you can find any).

It's MoneyMay. Go onto my site and check out our lovely T-Shirts. I'm blessed. #MoneyTeam

No but seriously, he was good today. I don't have to make a compilation for the only person in this thread who said that his performance wasn't as good as we portrayed it to be. For a start, his touch and hold-up play were very good. My only problem with him is that he's not involved enough and my problem with him today was that he should have passed the ball to Van Persie instead of falling easily, but he wasn't the problem today.

MM will be the best you get ;) I thought advertising was banned here too? #MoneyTeam - get out of here.

We can agree to disagree which I think will be for the best considering he is the golden boy for most. For me though he is out of his depth and a major cause of us not controlling games when he plays. Today he did nothing and if you think he did then I would like you to make a video. #MoneyTeam and all that.

I'll try to do my best and create it for you.

MajorTom, you're majorly wrong. Works both ways see?

He's not a player to make things happen for us in the middle of the pitch, but if you want to provide even a half decent cross to him, he will be one of the most likely to score. Solskjaer's game wasn't outside the box, and neither was RvN's. These players were born and bred to be a danger around the box, and to be effective you need effective wingers putting in good crosses: we don't have that at the moment. If we had Valencia with his POTY form a couple of years back providing service like he used to, you would see an ncredibly productive Hernandez around the box, because that is what he is, and always will be, about.

And actually, I thought his play outside the box was good this game, and it's something he has improved majorly this season. So therefore your posts are pretty dumb even if you think you're right.

Isn't that what I have stated in everyone of my posts? If I have stated something which contradicts that then please highlight it. And no, I don't see anything. What am I supposed to understand from your first sentence?

That's his key strength, doesn't mean he is inept at everything else. If you couldn't see how he contributed at all to our build up play today then I'm afraid you cannot be helped on the situation, not even through a MoneyMay video

Haha, not even through a MM video. That is too funny. Did we win the game? Did we score? You must look for different qualities of a forward than me and especially a forwards attributes given our current situation in midfield. Horses for courses, not just opinions on here but those on the pitch trying to get us over the furlong.

Was a vast improvement on Welbeck, and most of our positive play involved him

Somehow I don't see you in the RvP thread saying the same things, because he provided sweet F'all today.

Completely different kettle of fish, more of a shark of the sea. No need to say anything about his performance today considering he played the deeper role (which is unfamiliar) and he was carrying a knock. You can suck on my teet later if you need a nap :smirk:

Nah I'll just keep praising players who actually do a good job rather than look a tit by playing down positive things he actually did accomplish today, then making a lame attempt to mock another poster for actually using his eyes to notice the positives.

A tit? I don't think you intended that as a reply from my comment but if you did, fair play. How you have used your eyes and how I have used mine is completely different, that is a given. No-one has said anything to sway me from my opinion that he is only a finisher. That may sound as a slight to some and in the context I'm saying things it is. We need more than that, we need a lot more than that. Doesn't he have the best record since OGS in terms of coming of the bench and scoring? A good reason to that. He shouldn't be starting games of football for us. Van up top on his own and five midfielders should have been the option today. He is lightweight and can never play up-front on his own.

I thought he played quite well for the most part today and linked up reasonably well with Januzaj.

One of his best games in a while. Worked really hard, chased down every ball, didn't allow them to pass out from the back because he was on top of Krul and the CBs as soon as they got the ball. His link up play was good and it's a shame that he didn't get a goal with that shot on target.
Showed real desire which counts for a lot.

His link up and hold up play was good today. However he is wasted in our current team. He plays his best football when he gets lots of service. He didn't get any today.

No Rooney, no RVP, league cup match.... no Hernandez. So either Moyes has decided Hernandez has no future here or he needs him in Rooney's absence coming up and wants to keep him fit for the league matches. It does feel to me like Moyes doesn't rate Javier.

If this goes to 120 minutes, it's better to have him start on the bench and come on to tired legs. If Hernandez were to start the game, I don't think he would finish it so it's better this way imo.

I think he'll be gone by the summer regardless if he starts games like these. Too good to be on the bench, not good enough to get a decent amount of games infront of RvP/Rooney.

I wouldn't read much into Hernandez not starting, he's been injured for goodness sake!

He was injured only days ago and missed the Villa game as a result.

Welbeck is hopefully about to play himself into some scoring form.

Rooney also said to be injured which leaves us with just one striker in reserve at one of the busiest times of the season.

Why the fuss?

Don't blame him if he goes - he deserves first team action, sadly he's dueling for a spot with Rooney and Van Persie.

He could be first choice next year if all the doom-mongering is true and both RvP and Rooney want to leave in the summer.
