He's been the best thing about this season. His attitude and exuberance is simply fantastic, not to mention his footballing ability.

We've got 99 problems but the Cheech ain't one.

That joke was mentioned about the pitch a bit ago.

It was funny first time round, copycat versions just aren't the same.

However good Hernandez might be I don't see us shifting from our 1 striker up top formation vs Arsenal. We have a set formula against them which works very well and I'd stick to that.

However if Nani and Park are both out then Hernandez upfront with Rooney on the left and Giggs on the right would be fine I guess.

He is Ole Gunnar reborn isn't he.

Even his team situation is the same. Everyone is desperate for him to start but the fact that tactically he is so good off the bench makes him a non-regular.

Except I don't see him being happy sitting on the bench his whole career... Ole is a once in a lifetime find.

Don' think he is OLegend quite yet. But he's a hell of a lot faster which causes defenders problems. When he gets a bit stronger we'll see an even better player I'm sure of it.

he ahs a chance now with Nani's lay off to show us a bit more though

His link up play needs a lot of work before he can ebcomea starter IMO. But he is a weapon of weapons of the bench.

Of players to have scored 10+ PL goals, Javier Hernández now has the best mins per goal rate ever (96 mins,12 secs).

Javier Hernandez has now scored 10 PL goals from only 14 shots on target

feck, we really need to play him more.

I think he's got enough at the moment to start certain games, but yeh, he's an awesome player to have off the bench. It completely changes the way we play when he comes on.

We've got an amazing player here when he puts all his attributes together. As he's shown, he's certainly got the various strings to his bow.

The other argument is that bringing him on with 30 minutes to play to run at a tiring defence will afford him better chances. I would like to see him start more though.

Yes, bring him on at the hour mark every match.

So 30 appearances and he's already been labelled a super sub? That stat I posted earlier shows he is capable of much more.

We look more likely to score with him on the pitch. Why struggle for an hour and ask him to save us all the time? He's fantastic but he cant do it every time.

He should start a lot away from home where none of our other strikers have been convincing.

Such a wonderful young talent. I thought he was excellent against Chelsea. Pulled their defense in all directions opening up space for others. He actually uses his head to pass the ball very well which is a unique ability.

When he can show consistency against the top sides then you could be on to something. So far he's shown the right temperament to be here.next season with a good pre season and conditioning work under his belt you'll see a better player.

I for one can't wait to see him link up with Welbeck..it's a mouth watering prospect:drool:

With his acceleration all we need to do is learn to give him through balls to chase after. simples.

He loves hanging on the shoulder of the defender. We want a good passing midfielder to team him with (assuming Scholes does retire this summer).

He's got players up front who can pass to him.A lot of his goals have been created by excellent approach play by Rooney/Nani/Giggs.

We just need that consistently

Goals against

Chelsea
Valencia
Liverpool

Is that the kind of consistancy you're on about?

He's more consistant than any of our other strikers away from home. And in fact he's scored against all the good sides he's played against.

He's very consistent. He's scored in most of our tough games and has loads and loads of crucial goal. I think last night was the first goal he scored which was not important in anyway (except goal difference).

You seriously counting the Community Shield?

He was sub in the other 2. I meant starting and showing consistency, you know what I meant don't be a contrary knob

Why wouldnt you include it? We both wanted to win. We both played strong teams.

Who cares if he's a sub? He consistantly produces. Which is something we cannot say for Berbatov or Rooney away from home this season.

Hernandez, especially away from home, is outperforming both Rooney and Berbatov. In my honest opinion, he should be first choice. He is the one in form, and if he plays, he'll most likely score.

Hernandez has 7 EPL goals away from home whilst Berbatov has 10 including last years.

When we play away teams like to press us but with his pace and movement he can always find space.

How many has Berbatov this season though? Berbatov is not the same player outside of Old Trafford for whatever reason.

Hernandez's pace alone makes such a difference. Teams are afraid of it and as a result it creates so much space. His movement adds to it. The amount of space he created for him and others against Chelsea, whilst not playing well, was outstanding. Compare that to what Berbatov & Rooney did yesterday.

Should definitely be starting the away matches. His pace, movement, sitting on the last defender's shoulders, pressure he applies - are all the things we need in those matches. At home, Berbatov and Rooney's class touch on the ball and creativity is more important against tight defences. Away, it's not the right combo. Any away partnership should include Hernandez.

I think our midfield issues detract from each of our strikers games, but perhaps most of all from Berbatov's, and least of all from Hernandez. The results of this are seen most clearly when we've been playing away from home.

Hernandez keeps defenders deep, which gives the rest of our team the benefit of more space when trying to break out of defence. He works well off crosses with his pace, movement and aerial abilities, which is where we get a good amount of chances in any given game due to our strong wings. His strike rate efficiency is incredibly good too - great for those games where the number of chances we have is limited.

With some reinforcement in midfield for next season, someone who can hold onto the ball and pass it well in the final third, I think we're likely to see a much more dangerous Berbatov and Rooney in away games. But since we don't really have that for the remainder of this season, Hernandez strengths are least affected by this and so should be strongly considered for starting our away games.

I am not his greatest fan, but he deserves to start alongside Rooney.
They looked terrific together against Wigan and Chelsea.

Berbatov is too static for my liking. In games where we dominate, this is fine. We cannot afford to play him in important big matches. Hernandez is a much more interesting option in these games.

Why, may I ask?

I think people have become too excited about his abilities. My opinion is gradually changing, but still he is not technically refined. The ball often bounces off him when he drops deep to receive it. Inside the box, he comes to life, but outside, he is not refined.

His movement is excellent, though, and he is an unbelievable finisher. These traits are crucial for difficult away games where we will not have so much of the ball or create too many chances.

People are excited about a young talent who has joined our club and has scored goals in big games, plays with a massive smile on his face and seems like a kid who's just had every Christmas wish of his life come true in that he's playing for United. He's got a natural eye for goal, fantastic movement and a clinical finish, but you're choosing to not like him too much because people are 'too excited' and he's not the finished product yet?

Hernandez is just better off coming of the bench. He will score easily because the defenders are tired and he can easily run in behind them with his speed. His finishing is already very good. I m not saying he doesn't score when he starts or he should never start but he is our super sub.
