What the F is going on here, are we serious about this??? LVG can get fecked after this, letting our most talented youngster go, bringing in an overhyped Origi and keeping pub Rodney in the squad....

LVG has been pretty ruthless with our young players; the opposite of what he's done at previous clubs. Change in philosophy from him or a sign he's not too impressed with our youth system?

German newspapers reporting that Dortmund has an option to buy him after this season.

This is a transfer I don't understand and it could be one we will regret. It only makes sense if we have practically signed a new player who is better than Adnan or if Van Gaal totally lost faith in Adnan and doesn't care about him. (But why? He was not superb, but okay most of the time when Van Gaal let him play this season. And he did let him play also in important matches. That's why I thought Van Gaal believes in his talent.)

I really don't understand this whole thing.

That's not true.Dortmund preferred to have an option to buy.

And that will be for €2M even though he smashes it there, we still have young, Valencia, Fellaini, Romero, Lindegaard, Valdes at the club, Blind playing at CB, fart Rooney playing up front, De Gea future in the air and he's more concerned about what to do with Januzaj. If the club agree to this they are the biggest jokes in football history.

Hope this is bollocks. Sounds a crazy move given our dearth of attacking options.

Well van Gaal is very stubborn, it wouldn't be the first time he decided to let go of a good player because he didn't believe that he fit his style.
I would think someone in the hierarchy would step in if LVG tries to ship off one of our best young academy player. He has not earned any credits so far to take such a step. I think it is only a season long loan and nothing else. If there is an option to buy then perhaps we are getting Reus next summer.

I do. Actually, that's where he will get most of his time for Dortmund if he goes there.

Competing with Kagawa? I guess that could be ok for him. We are going to need someone in though as we now have one less forward option.

Just screams of being a potential
de Bruyne situation.

I'm more than happy to let Januzaj go out on loan. It might be better to get out of such a pressurised environment and allowed to play football and develop.

However, for me, it is absolutely imperative that there is not a buy option on the loan. He is a talented player who needs plenty of game time and it would be foolish of the club to let him go.

Imagine next season Dortmund competing in the top 4 of the UCL once again with Januzaj as one of their main guys, while United is playing Euro League.

The vengeance for screwing up 3 years of Kagawa! :D
Have you seen the PL this season? It would be harder for us to drop out of the top four than stay in it.

That would be a really shit move if we loan him out with a option to buy, but I am pretty sure that will happen if he goes to Dortmund this window. Makes no sense for them to do a loan deal without a option to buy, they are not a small club who give a player playtime for us. Our depth isn't that great at all, Januzaj started most of our games ffs, I really hope we keep him, even if we add Martial we need him. The only way this deal would be of for me if we add Griezmann now too or Dortmund gives us options on Hummels and Reus, but that's something for muppet dream land I guess :(

It's a good loan opportunity but it would have been better last season than this.

From everything you hear he's very highly rated within the club so I can't imagine this will result in him being offloaded.

Why on earth would we loan Januzaj? Who will act as Mata's cover?

All of this for me.

I can't see him getting many more games at Dortmund than he would here. So the loan doesn't really make a lot of sense unless there is an option to buy. If that is the case then I am a little concerned. Granted I don't rate him as highly as some it is still a bit concerning to write him off so suddenly.

Will also be breaking up the Fellaini and Adnan bromance :(

We'll splurge a load on Felipe Anderson tomorrow. Watch.

If that's the case than maybe a loan will be okish. However we shouldnt allow them a chance to buy him up

Which is why I wrote, I can only see this happening with someone else coming in, who should be better than Januzaj currently is. I am not exactly thrilled by this, but Dortmund with Tuchel as their coach wouldn't be the worst move for all parties.

Someone else coming in on top of Martial, that is.

Kampl, Großkreutz and Blaszczykowski gone.

His competition would be Reus, Mhkitaryan, Kagawa and Hofmann. He should getting enough games.

Castro is playing there too.

Castro can play everywhere. The last times he played was as CB and RB though. I don't think that he will be an regular option for the front 4.

They have Castro too. He will get games there, but he won't be a starter. He will get games here too, he started 3 games already? So a loan for gametime is kind of pointless for me, especially because you have to consider that he needs time to adapt to a new team and league too. If we want to get rid, then yeah that's a shit decision imo :(

Considering he was starting games for van Gaal, I highly doubt we want to get rid, especially if van Gaal will be gone in a couple of years and the club looks at the bigger picture, which we seem to do with Memphis and Martial. Like I said we most likely bring someone else on top of Martial in, if we loan out Januzaj. I'd guess someone who's currently better like Griezmann or Fekir. Otherwise it wouldn't make sense, since we can give him a lot of time ourselves. Still, Dortmund would be a good loan move for all parties.

Don't think it's gonna happen, the German transfer window closes in 100 minutes, until then Dortmund need to register him and we probably would've heard more about him being in Dortmund by now.
Like I wrote in another thread, Dortmund won't agree to a loan without a buy-out option and United would be utterly stupid to agree to such a deal. Not to mention that losing another attacker doesn't make any sense from Uniteds point of view.

We need two more after Martial if Januzaj and Hernandez are off. Not bothered about Hernandez but letting Januzaj go is mental. No idea what we're doing. This late in the window, it's mental.

Yeah of course if we add another player it would be ok I guess. But I still hope we don't give them a option to buy. But I don't see Dortmund make a deal without a option to buy, they are not a small team who will accept to develope a player for us. Would only make sense if they really need another player for depth reasons and can't find another one, so they will take the loan instead of no player at all. I really hope we know what we are doing, the De Gea situation on top of it doesn't give me huge confidence.

The part in bold is what I'd bet on.

Well we're hearing a lot about this loan, even if it's only from Germany.

Yeah, but then it would be stupid for United to loan him out at all. He can be that player at United as well, no need to send him somewhere else. And Dortmund won't ever prefer him over their own players if he's definitely gone again next summer. No need to develop him if he's not staying.

Ok this to me is good news because it means we ARE going to have a new attacking player before the window ends right,? RIGHT?!?!
