Januzaj | Confirmed: On Loan at Dortmund

That's assuming we're bringing in nobody else.
Yeah, nobody else. Even if we bring in Martial though, which seems the most likely scenario at this point, I don't see why Adnan wouldn't get the necessary game time. If he's not starting, he's more than good enough to be a rotation option in all the three positions behind the striker.

Edit: If we do loan him, I agree with the sentiment that LvG probably doesn't believe that he has a future here.

I doubt Dortmund would loan him without an buy clause though.

Do you think it's possible that United would sell him?

There are some very good reasons why all of those players were jettisoned. Not sure about Januzaj though.

I agree. Purely in terms of numbers of options available, Van Gaal is creating serious problems for himself though. As things stand we're an injury/suspension away from starting games with Fellaini at #9.

Yes I think so. We were reportedly on the verge of making a similar deal with PSG in January. I'd assume he's played his last game for United.

I think he doesn't believe Januzaj has what it takes to make a consistent contribution here.

This may end up being a precursor to a permanent move I feel.

It really shouldn't be up to Van Gaal. He's here, what, 2-3 years tops?

Very good move from us. I think we should send Depay on loan somewhere too and then sell Mata. Then moan about lack of offensive players.

Everything, and I mean, everything, seems to be up to him. Total control - it's scary.

It's madness isn't it. Fergie has gone but we have kept the same structure of the manager having all the control. The club should have it's own football ideas and direction but we don't seem to have that in place.

I'm just hoping that isn't basically his United career ending.
Nah, mate, won't happen. Remember when another Belgian, de Bruyne, couldn't make it at a Premier League club, Chelsea, and was loaned out to a Bundesliga club, Bremen?

It all turned out great for him and he's now playing for City.

Would be hard for him to get a spot anyway. Too many attacking midfielders there already.
that's why he started three games out of 5, last being injured, not judging his performances but this showed itself that he could be trusted more this season..

We must have about 3 more players coming in - and some big ones.

Januzaj out - Martial in would certainly be an expensive side step, or even step backwards.

Surely if we're letting adnan though then we have somebody else like griezmann coming in? Martial is in for Hernandez effectively, and we'd be light up front if januzaj went on loan. Also, why the feck would he go to dortmund when they are well stocked in those positions.

When fit he's played every game this season and now it seems he's not even worthy of a squad place a few days later. Even if you buy better players to replace them, surely it would be more beneficial to have him in on our squad than Dortmund's. Same with Hernandez.

Our options on the bench yesterday were poor - given inevitable injuries and dips in form, the likes of Januzaj and Hernandez could prove vital later in the season. Very strange.

Could only be if a Dortmund forward was coming this way, surely?

Would be a ridiculous loan otherwise. Basically signing him up for Dortmund's bench/rotation role, because he's not walking into that team and getting the games needed to develop. If this happens, it's surely him going there longer term, and being sacrificed for a big-name signing.

No idea how legit this is, but it's not the type of loan move that a youngster takes in order to develop.

Well congratulations to City then.

If Januzaj goes to Dortmund on loan, it's with a view to buy without a doubt.

They're a big club, they won't be taking him for a year to give him game time to develop for us. It'll be with the view that he can be a Dortmund player.

We are lacking in decent attacking players. I think he deserves every opportunity to develop himself with us this season. It would be bizarre to get rid whilst keeping hold of Ashley Young for another 3 years.

Doesn't make much sense for me. His chances are better here, there he needs to settle to a new team, a new league and has to compete with good attacking players too. They also have no need to care about his developement and they are too big to develope a player for us. If we Ioan him out, I would prefer a PL club, but our depth up front isn't that great anymore so I hope we just keep him.

They intend to sell Kuba and I think once the NT breaks are over Tuchel will start to rotate more. Think he basically played the same 11, because he knew they´d get a NT rest period. CFould also just be a play to put pressure on Yarmolenko/Kiev

The next 30 hours are going to be mental.
You only have to wait about 4 hours for this one. The Bundesliga transfer window closes today at 6pm local time, so it either happens in the next 4 hours or it won't happen at all.

Yeah, turned out great for Chelsea.

Wont play a lot there, maybe on the right? Thats the only position i could see him nailing down a starting spot.

He won't even be a first teamer there. 1 bench to another. Not much sense in this tbh.
