With Mata coming in I reckon it's time for Moyes to wield the axe and ship a player or two out and leave the dressing room in no doubt that anyone who isn't giving their all wont be around much longer. Deals don't tend to go through during the weekend I don't think.
Signing Mata is a step in the right direction instead of signing someone like Lallana or Young a few seasons back but still, we need to make our defensive play more solid and this will never happen unless we sign a very defensively solid midfielder and a left back.

He hasnt passed the medical nor has he put pen to paper (maybe he might have agreed personal terms). I doubt things are going to move any further this weekend. So training with the team on Monday is highly unlikely at this point.
