This January already looks like a one big miracle with so much news about Mata... Unfortunately this team looks like it needs more than 50% parts replaced with quality ones.
The team needs about 10 players or maybe just a manager with style.
We still need another winger. If Mata gets injured or needs a rest we're stuck with Valencia and / or Young again. Their level has fallen so dramatically I'm not even sure they're good enough squad players. I think we'll find a buyer for Valencia but I don't know about Young. Maybe Everton or Newcastle?
i think a box to box midfielder is needed much more urgently...Guarin and Cabaye are available....one of those would defo be an improvement on what we already have

We cannot sign gazillion players under assumption that they might get injured and will need replacing, and rebuilding our whole flanks so that we never use Young or Valencia again would consume far too much money.
If we sell Valencia and Young for around £15 mil total (if that), then use that money to buy a decent winger for 15 mil we'd have improved without spending anything. Then we'd have Januzaj, Mata, Nani and another for the wing/wide spots, a vast improvement over the current crap.

Yup I was referring to the summer window. Valencia and Young will have to do as back-up until then. We're not in many competitions so hopefully Januzaj, Mata and Nani can play most games.
We have 18 games left this season (maximum 20) so we should be all right.

I think we need a central midfielder desperately now more than ever. We have lost Carrick for God knows how long, Ando is out on loan, Fellaini is shit and just coming back from injury, Fletcher cant play every game and well Cleverley is Cleverley. We need someone, at least on loan. Might as well give Guarin a try if we could get him only on a loan.
