January Transfer Window

Not surprised. Moyes will keep on giving the impression of actively seeking players, while really hanging on till summer where the real business will be done.
I think its the opposite. He's looking for players while keeping people prepared for us not bringing anyone in. Which he should be doing because the fact is, January is a hard month to bring in players. If the players are there he wants to bring them in now. If they aren't he's not going to bring anyone in.

Just over 2 hours until Woody starts fecking things up for a month. I expect him to be sitting at his desk early and ready at 23:50 tonight and to spring into action as soon as that clock hits 12. Lock him in the office until he's signed us a proper midfielder.

When realistically would we start business? Like even if it's just bringing Powell back? I doubt we'd want to do anything tomorrow with the Spurs game to focus on.

Have to define start business. Contact would have been made already about certain possibilities. Impossible to say if a deal will happen this week or late January.

True with most. But like if they want an extra CM in, Powell could as far as I know be called back any time in January, so there would be no point waiting past tomorrow to do it if we want him.

Same for Ander Herrera who has a fixed price. If we are desperate to sign him and he has a fixed price, there would be no point in doing it any later than tomorrow. If you get me.

Yeh but even those release clauses still take negotiations. They just don't happen.

The window is officially open. Lets get spending.

If this window doesn't end with Harry Redknapp cutting a trademark interview, I'm boycotting Transfer Deadline Day 4 LYF.

Rumours are Liverpool have secured a first option on Derby's Will Hughes.

My only hope for January is that we don't sign Baines

Coentrao on loan with a view to a permanent, Powell to Hull on loan and securing Rooney to a new contract would be great business.

Hopefully we don't sign anyone unless they are of top quality and can push us over the top in the league and CL. Otherwise, best to do our business in the summer.

To be honest I'd be glad of a clear out and the return of a few of our youth from loan. May as well try them out.

*Muppet hat is firmly on*

Moyes and Woodward will treat us to a few sexy signings in January guys, keep the faith.

My guess is we'll get Baines and Herrera and some unknown youngster.

Herrera/Cabaye and Shaw would do just fine with Anderson and Büttner exiting.
