James Rodriguez| Is considering his options

It just smells of another Real Madrid-trash-wanker like Di Maria who really doesn't want to be here, and therefore turns out to be shit.

Both would be awesome ha!

If we get Jose I dont see why not, it would mean the end of Rooney and that would be a huge win for us as well.
Finally a high paced, functioning attack that would scare any caliber of opposition.

Really can't get excited by the prospect of recruiting a big money player rumoured to have attitude issues. If it is really true that he can't be bothered to work hard for everybody's dream club Real Madrid, then how the feck can we expect him to come to us and apply himself properly?

If we got Mourinho in charge perfect signing to play number 10. If he circus continues he will just add to it.

People thinking that giving tones of money to RM for some their reject,so they could use that money and invest in their improvements, while that same forced out player might not be happy at all leaving RM and going to place like England etc.

if Mourinho comes, he would want Mata replaced. Personally think we should go to a 433

From what I read in here and elsewhere he's quite a talented player who loves to play as no 10 and hates dropping deep and work for the ball. Are we replacing the Spanish Mata with the Colombian one?

I imagine we'll snap up anyone who is a Mendes boy who wants a pay day and anyone who loves Jose in the Summer (if we get Mourinho of course). If we get Mourinho, I imagine there will be a few comings (or cummings if you will).

The difference is that James don't want to make the effort while Mata can't. With the correct manager, James could be the best player in the world.

Stylistically yeah, but James is quicker, stronger and better at beating his man.

James is actually mobile!!

No thanks, lets not line Madrid's pockets again, especially as DDG will no doubt be involved.

He's not all that this player, and would just be a 'name' signing.

Arsenal and Bayern did that too and haven't got an ounce of regret. Just because we were stupid enough to hire a mad man who ruined Di Maria doesn't mean all Madrid rejects are toxic.

Do we have a Real Madrid car boot sale thread every year!!! People really can't let stuff go. It was one player under a manager that can't get goals out of Martial, Mata and Rooney!

I'm sorry but I don't believe this for one minute. There is no way he is as talented as Messi, Ronaldo and Neymar for example. Maybe he could be "one of the top ten" but "the best player in the world" is beyond him in my opinion

In the future after Messi and Ronaldo, he could but he won't.

Well in Arsenal case, its London and seems when people say London and north of England, its like heaven and earth difference, not sure but think this is first proper season of Ozil in Arsenal, maybe i am wrong.

Neymar is the same age and much better plus there will be others coming through by the time Messi retires (hopefully Martial). I think James will potentially be very good but a level below the most elite players in the world

Attitude concerns me, but just having someone in the team who can produce a bit of magic would be a massive boost. We have absolutely no one with any flair atm, barring Martial. Carries a goal threat from distance too, something else we lack.
If Jose comes in, we would certainly be in need of number 10, IMO.

Would be a very good signing, he's mobile and very technically gifted. He could be the key to unlocking some stubborn defences in the league if he's on his game and not just joining us for the pay check.

He is also slow and a bit soft. I am not sure about him.

Rather not waste big money on him. I don't think he's what we need.

He has a lot of energy when he plays which is the key thing, a bit like Herrera or Schneiderlin who are both slow but can get around the pitch all game which is what we'd need for a number 10.

Hugely talented but would he be up for the challenge of moving here and adapting to our culture, both on and off the field, or would he just be another Di Maria?

Ibrahimovic
Martial--------James---Griezmann
please

Juventus? I don't see them paying the necessary fee. I think James ends up here if Mourinho wants him. Otherwise P$G or reuniting with Ancelotti at Bayern.

I'd take him. I trust Mourinho to get a winger with pace and physicality for the right, it's one place he's normally great at assessing options for.
