I've been posting almost every day how this is only a matter of time.
Is this a record number of pages for the Caf? Amazing to see it's still going strong with pretty much zero news for at least 2 weeks now.

Either they really haven't agreed on the fees, or they are both trying to downplay things so perhaps Dortmund could negotiate with potential replacements quietly without too much noise or hype from the press. I mean even the rumor of Rashica fella has quieten down since a week or two weeks ago now.

As per Ogden, it's the player and especially agent we can't agree terms with. Whereas the likes of Romano believe all is good on that front but we haven't met Dortmund's valuation.

Their season starts in like 2 weeks doesn't it? I highly doubt they're going to let their best player leave without adequate time to replace him. The money won't matter if they don't get the opportunity to use it. This one really has died a slow death
What's the common denominator between those two things? Agent compensation. One can interpret this in two different ways (Romano + Falk vs. British media), but the fact of the matter is that the agent compensation's what holding this deal back.

I still think this might happen. It's a lot of money so we are taking our time. As long as the player want's to move the chances are good.

Dortmund want all of the 120 million Euros for themselves, but we might not be willing to pay enough for that. In Dortmund's view, we wouldn't be paying the full transfer fee. That's what Romano could be referring to. From the United briefs, we haven't agreed on personal terms yet. That would include both the agent fees and Sancho's terms. The intersection between those two different viewpoints would be the agent fees.

It's clear Sancho wants to move but Dortmund as usual once again playing hardball, fair play to them. I'd too if its our best player and what's more so young and promising. Still the way they handle this whole transfer has been very un-elegant like a clingy teenage boyfriend who kept clinging onto his girlfriend and refused to let her go, despite her wanting to move back to her hometown. Still think this might happen if not in January.
I bet you said the same thing when we brought Falcao, Di Maria, Herrera, Shaw, Blind, Rojo in 2014.
This is what I suspect is happening and why the agents are negotiating rather than the two clubs directly. I think Ogden may be onto something here.

You are missing the point. None of them were priority in those years except Griezmann but Griezmann decided to change his mind due to Atletico’s banned.

Pretty sure they had prepared this last month when they set 10th October as their own deadline. They have been heavily linked with lot of wingers at that time like someone in Bundesliga Teams, Memphis and Zaha.

Whilst true, you need to remember Sancho is their best player. When the season starts, their focus will be on competing and when they are forced to sign a player, account for the possible 2 week quarantine required etc. it could be a huge disruption to the beginning of their season. That's why the longer it goes on, the less likely I think this is of happening this summer
If it's Sancho or his camp pricing himself out of the move then that completely changes the situation. In that case then I'd say it's likely that we've completely walked away as you'd have to question how interested his is in coming. In that case we won't be back in for him next summer as he probably has his heart set on another club.

They stand no chance to compete with Bayern. Bayern just strengthened their squad with Sane while Dortmund strengthened their squad with Bellingham. If they are being serious competing, they should have invest more to improve try to close the massive gaps with Bayern.
They actually dropped Sancho in the last two games of the 19/20 season. They pretty much already prepare how to play without him during the final day of last season. It'll be fine, if we give them 108m as what they asked for, they will accept it.

That might change if he grows tired waiting and this latest agent complications. I wouldn't bang on too much over that, as far as I know he is neither a United fan nor the type to go on a strike to get this deal done. We have this perfect summer where we basically have zero competitions for him, next summer can be very different. I can imagine if Messi does indeed move, Barcelona and you can always count on the other big clubs who are quiet this summer.

About the transfer. Press in England gets their info from Woodward, so take it with a pinch of salt. But many journos will already ''translate'' the info that they get from Edward.
Man Utd and BVB have never talked in a meeting face to face. There are intermediaries - Marco Lichtsteiner on behalf of BVB, Emeka Obasi on behalf of Sancho and probably those cool looking lawyers that Edward used on Herrera transfer
On those meetings BVB said that they wanted 120 million euros. Edward Woodward through Matt Judge said that in this climate BVB are being unreasonable and 120 million euros is out of the question and said 60 million euros+20 million in add-ons (Add-on is not instalment, so don't get it twisted) BVB :''keep that thing away from me'' they dont want nothing to do with Edwards now famous add-ons where the player has to win Ballon D'or, Champions League and 10 league titles and all thay while still being at Old Trafford

Even on sky sports yesterday they were talking that BVB wants Sancho to come out and say that he is staying and Man Utd want the same thing, or the other thing, or the same thing. Either way, Man Utd want Sancho to come out and say something!

The way how publicly Simon Stone and others put winger or Sancho as our priority compared to those names in your list should tell you the difference. Sancho's saga was dragged too long the same way as when we aimed for striker under Jose, centre back last season & Bruno in January. While those listed weren't even long saga, disappeared and moved on as soon as there is no agreement in either contract or transfer fees.
Sancho cost more than 120m euros last year and will not cost less for at least another 7-8 years. We could have bought him for 120m euros before August 10, but the skiving Glazers are trying to buy him for less. Time waits for no one - if Messi leaves Barca, Sancho will go to Barca.
