Jadon Sancho| Staying at Dortmund for now

That sounds like the coach is setting the narrative for his inevitable departure... at least, that's what the muppet inside is telling me.
Think it's more the case of him saying for Sancho to reach his potential, he needs to turn up to training on time everyday. There was talk he'd turned up to training late a few times whilst he's been at Dortmund.

Worse, probably. Unless COVID is put under control clubs will have endured another season of reduced TV and gate receipts. The thinking in waiting is Dortmund isn’t as well capitalized as us, so they may be more willing to negotiate next summer.

Even when we're allowed back, they're planning for reduced capacity.. i can't see me paying £1 towards my 2 season tickets for 20/21. If that is consistent across leagues there is a lot more pain to come.

EPL and 2 Spanish clubs are best positioned to handle no fans financially due to international television deals and sponsorships, although the weight of the wage bill doesn’t make it that simplistic.

No gate revenue is going to significantly hurt all clubs, but teams with large TV deals and sponsorships are best positioned to handle this as long as they aren’t overextended. Now the recession caused by this will likely also carry over to merchandising too.

Those quotes doesn't sound very glowing or encouraging from his coach if he plans to have the player to count on next season. It's almost sounds too negative

Exactly. Teams not selling wantaway stars now is like not selling a house just before a huge recession just in case it comes back.
Its ridiculous how people cant see whats ahead of us. Even FFP alone will kill big money deals with the fall in revenue

They have been common for a while, Favre, Kehl and even Can have commented on Sancho's immaturity this season following several incidents.

Our cash reserves (90m in Mars) will probably drop further in Q4. I would be extremely surprised if we spend more then 50m excluding players sales. Probably less. Any other outcome would from my perspective jeopardize our finances. (Using a revolving credit on players transfers in the middle of a Pandemic sounds irresponsible in my world)

And Borussia continue to talk about Sancho. What's new?

Another chance to put this saga to bed not taken.

How so?
Is he meant to say we tried and failed or reveal we are still trying.
Neither one is good so he's better giving the party line.

For the record I think its dead. Tried and failed.
Move on

Yes..

Yes...

It's surprising we're not seeing more about United selling. They (BVB) want $$ we'll sort it..

I saw this live, he was just responding awkwardly to the interviewer whilst trying to avoid the question.

You can't read too much into these comments unless they obviously firmly deny/confirm anything of course.

They are very awkward exchanges to be fair.

Edit, just re-read your post and you were confirming the same sorry. Thought you were questioning what he said.

Very important he sorts that out as he ages. Of course he is very young, but if he genuinely wants to be one of the best in the world he'll have to ensure these incidents don't keep happening.

I'm actually surprised people haven't picked up on all of Favre's answers on Sancho:

"Yes Sancho is very good, but he also has to keep on his mind that he still has a lot to learn: chest control, layoffs with his head, total defending and to not stop running after 10 minutes." Clearly #SanchON.

How about saying we not not interested and have never been interested? Obviously saying that instead of trying and failed is better PR.

What was the context there? Are they listing out all his negative points and flaws now? Or am i reading it too much now?

The reporter was asking him "He [Sancho] is one of the players on your team who can be the difference, who holds a special role in your plans.."

You are reading too much. Basically Favre was asked about Sancho's hype and he answered that he is very talented but has a lot of things to address.

.... And hes worth 120m?

Not sure if he's unknowingly helping United to drive the price down there

He isn't, it's not a new thing. Dortmund have done that for a while, they want to keep him grounded which is a good thing.

Around August 10th, the board and his teammates were all kissing his arse. The next week, his own coach is saying how he's actually not all that and he needs to improve. Keeping him grounded or a bit bitter?

You were one of the ITK during Pogba transfer, right? Or I am confusing you with someone else? Give us something to muppet, reddit ITKs turned out boring

We are not denying anything at the moment and therefore it’s on

I don’t know more than you. I am on the muppet train and I am not stopping anytime soon.

Just pay the fecking money.

What happened to Woodward's claim 'we can do things in the transfer market other clubs can only dream of'

Twat

Thats how you negotiate when buying a house? Everyone world on a budget. The more we spend on Sancho, the less we have for others.
So you blow everything on the price of the house, then you may have nothing left for furniture, paint or bathrooms.

This is not your regular criticism of a player, his own coach basically called him lazy in an interview. This is on.

Germany announcing that they won't allow fans back to thy stadium in September, which was initially planned. Maybe a further hit to Dortmund financials and could force them to reconsider keeping Sancho.

Clearly they are trying to extract maximum value out of Sacho -- either through United or trying to drum up other potential buyers. If they weren't trying to do that, there would have been a strict blanket media silence on anything regarding Sancho or even the mention of his name.

Its too obvious.

I very much doubt it will be this year, I'm not at all surprised.

This is why I shared <3

I sincerely doubt they were expecting to fill their stadiums. At the presser Watzke said that they fully accept the politician's decision and that he thinks/hopes that allowing around 10% capacity will be possible soon-ish. Club's would sure love that money, but as Westfalians tend to say: it won't make the cabbage fat.
