Those two could play together for a decade.
I was thinking of Bale. Dalot looks better as a winger than a defenderBut again why convert? Why not do things usual way playing a RB at RB and get a proper RW, instead of doing what we have been and lamenting lack of a RW for 5 yrs now.
Young's is awful defensively. Dalot is easily on par if not better. Just hasn't been given the chanceNot defensively.
Sancho and Dalot right side is a hell of a lot better than Dalot and Young.Young's is awful defensively. Dalot is easily on par if not better. Just hasn't been given the chance
Yes it is. He posted two Instagram stories. One with the Rashford comment and another video of him repeating 'I have no words.'

Nice idea, unlikely to happen but what could go wrong ?£70m and give them Chong on a loan deal
Rely on him to make a mistake every time the opposition attack. The fact Young is at his best defensively but still so poor at defending, shows what type of player he is. Should be kept around for leadership only. Wont win a title with him as second choice next season. RBs need to play as wingers in attack in modern football and Young can't even do that anymore. He doesn't have the engine anymore so he kicks players rather than tracking back. Signing Sancho would be pointless if he doesn't get a quality player overlapping like Dalot. On the contrary, Young is at his best defensively. It is attacking wise where he is poor, especially at crosses. But in defense, you can rely on him. Getting old now though.

right click, copy video url, and then paste in another tab/window to watch. They don't seem to load for me.

100% agree he is poor attacking but his positioning in defence is also awful. Not a good defender at all all things considered. Look at how often he costs us goals versus Shaw.
Had Sancho stayed at City..
Foden should also go to Germany to get minutes. Pep has assembled a hugely deep squad with 2 experienced and in many cases top level players in each position. Only an injury crisis can give these kids a chance and even then he’ll go buy some more players.
Zinchenko broke through to the first team due to the injuries to Mendy. Pep’s been moaning about getting another LB.
Cannot imagine Zinchenko is too happy about pep fantasizing about a new LB.
Completely agree, if Sancho was still at City, he would probably still be playing u-23 football.Foden should also go to Germany to get minutes. Sancho is a baby Hazard, who himself was a bit of a baby-Messi for me. We joke about needing to get the next Messi on this forum. This is he. With the right development and environment, I doubt he can ever touch Lionel who is the best ever, but he could possibly get closer than Hazard did. For me, as brilliant as Hazard is, I honestly think he should have gotten closer to Messi, which is why my first thought with him is one of disappointment. Eden Hazard ability with Ronaldo or Kane mentality and desire to be the best would be unstoppable. He would get 25 league goals a season at least.
Sancho’s story is yet to be written, but his resemblance to Hazard is striking to me. This is why I want him at United as soon as possible, so that we can get into his head and indoctrinate him in our culture to be the best. The talent part is there. I don’t know yet about the will, but if he has that, then it’s impossible for him to not become a great player, injury permitting.
Disagree. Respectfully. When we moved Young back right back when Bailly went off, injured or not, we immediately improved. The difference between him and Bailly was staggering. I think Ole adjusted the formation as well. You can rely on Young to do a decent job defensively. He never stops trying. Granted he is getting old.
When?Ole has name checked him twice so think there is genuine interest.
When?
Solskjaer praises Gomes, Chong and Garner
They’ve been part of our training for a long time now and I’m sure Angel has been successful with England’s under-17s, the 2017 team with Sancho, Foden and Hudson-Odoi, so he’s been a big part of that. I’m definitely sure that if he gets a chance he’ll do well.
James Garner is a Michael Carrick but 20 years younger, I’m sure he’ll do well and Chongy will be taking people on if he comes on. They’re ready, they’re kids. It’s hard if you’re a defender coming on if you’re 16 or 17 but as an attacker you go out there and express yourself, and there’s your chance. They can win you the game, not lose it for you.
Foden could probably do a job on the right wing for Dortmund too, but it doesn't mean that you're EPL right wing quality for Man United
You can't assume that we have talent on the same level as Sancho or we will find talent on his level. Potentially we have Greenwood, but many of us see him as a striker in the future even though he can play as a wide player. Sancho was the 2000 born English group's biggest talent. Signing Sancho will probably affect Chong, but Chong should not be prioritized over Sancho. Not nearly as skilled, is older, and isn't close to performing to the level of Sancho despite the huge difference in their respective competition's levels.
Also, a right wing upgrade is a priority and no matter the age of that player, will interfere with Chong. Might as well get someone who can grow with Greenwood, Gomes, Rashford, Martial, etc...
Zorc won't leave his hometown club Dortmund, and why would we want Vds when he doesn't do the job we want him to do? Marc Overmars is the technical director at Ajax.Ed Woodward needs to flex Manchester United's big club muscle and make offers Michael Zorc and Edwin van der Sar simply can't refuse. 120m plus Chong for Jadon Sancho and 100m plus TFM for Matthijs de Ligt. Now that United have a proper United manager in place, let's back him with generational talent at positions where generational talent would have a significant impact.
I'm not buying Zorc or VDS, I'm buying Jadon Sancho and Matthijs de Ligt.Zorc won't leave his hometown club Dortmund, and why would we want Vds when he doesn't do the job we want him to do? Marc Overmars is the technical director at Ajax.
Nor meThey don't seem to load for me.
My apologies, I misunderstood your post.I'm not buying Zorc or VDS, I'm buying Jadon Sancho and Matthijs de Ligt.
I'm not sure why we can't do both? Nobody is saying not to give our young players a chance. We're saying we should buy Sancho to pair him up with our young talents. Can't assume that he can't either. I'm pretty sure no one was banging any drum for Rashford and looked how that developed. This isn't a Chong v Sancho debate and Sancho clearly is further on but not 100m further on? We need to start taking the lead rather than having a Magpie mentality
