think the talk of left/right is overblown. Him and Sterling switched positions a couple of times today too, I didn't see a problem there. He does well on either flank.
Meh, he was pretty ass on the right. Couldn't take on comfortably. Put him on the left so he can impact the game the full 90 minutes.think the talk of left/right is overblown. Hold on….Ukraine just played with a low block virtually the whole game and Sancho was the best if not one of them tonight! He had a good game, showed his particular qualities - likes to pass and go, runs in behind and when given space will carry the ball.
However the one major limitation of his game was also on show - he doesn't beat players from a standing start, he tried a couple of times but was really slow with the ball and didn't get past the defender. I've thought it for a while but I can see us continue to struggle against low block teams that sit back as we still won't have anyone that can really take a defender on and consistently beat his man.
So nothing really changedThe heat map of our team next season will have only Bruno and AWB maybe on the right side of the pitch
Ive always maintained he is a left winger. Rashford in big trouble.
He swaps wings throughout the game and is comfortable playing anywhere behind the striker, so it works perfectly with either Rashford or GreenwoodI think he’s going to end up taking over the left if that’s the spot he wants.
Absolutely, can see Sancho having licence to roam.We haven’t signed him to play on the left wing. I imagine we’ll see a lot of Rashford on the left, Sancho on the right, and one of Cavani/Greenwood/Martial in the middle. Can’t wait for the new season to start.

What I wonder is how Shaw was attacking from the left and combining with Sterling while Walker rarely did so with Sancho? Was it tactical that Walker stays behind most of the game? Not that he is as good as Shaw but Walker could've helped Sancho a bit as he was marked tightly and doubled up on.
Also noticed that that the ball was moved to the left more and even Kane and Mount overloaded that space at times while Sancho was keeping width and not given enough balls by switching play.
Watch his games for Dortmund with Hakimi as RWB. He produces just as well with a competent RB/RWB behind him, that overlaps and creates space for him to move into and face up his defender. Kyle Walker didn't do that, hence why he was moved over to LW as Shaw was overlapping and creating space.Ive always maintained he is a left winger. Rashford in big trouble.
Very good in the first half. Wasn't as heavily involved in the second half, but that was more to do with a propensity for England to play to the left. When he did get the ball he did something with it. BBC did a segment on him at half time and full time. That's essentially their way of saying he should be starting, without criticizing the manager. How was he? I missed a majority of the game
?? He was absolutely great tonight off the right. Weird time to make that comment. And besides, it's obvious him and Rashford will regularly swap sides depending on the game and the moment.Ive always maintained he is a left winger. Rashford in big trouble.
Yup. We should be doing that every game anyway. Having to deal with two stylistically very different players in a game should give any FB a headache.think the talk of left/right is overblown. No.Certainly better on the left and that’s where he usually played at Dortmund I think?
A proper player. Plays with his head up and doesn't run into blind alleys.

Alright fair enough, I was just basing that on the “all goals and assists” video where most of his goals and assists came from the left
Great point and hopefully you are right because if not thats another LW we currently have along with 6 others. AWB is also here to stay so will shall see.Watch his games for Dortmund with Hakimi as RWB. Yes he's comfortable and quality on the LW, if you've watched enough you'd know he's just as comfortable and quality on the RW. We 100% haven't signed him for LW, that's certain, he might start the season there with Rashford out because of surgery but long term he'll be our RW.
