Can't see it. I think he's done at united...he's never kicked on at best or even regressed. If he looked arsed I may be convinced that he had a chance of getting back on track but as it is I just don't see it.
Take a look at Luke Shaw. I trust Ole if he still believes then I do too

He's going to be a game changer in our attack. Too many of them hold onto the ball for too long or run into dead ends or try to force the killer ball - not with Sancho. He'll make good decisions, he'll liven up the play, he'll get us in better positions more frequently and give the others around him more space to do their thing as he draws others out of position.

So happy we have him. Just think, a front 3 with him, Greenwood and Rashford
YES. World class player; among top 5 RW (in my opinion). Understand the comment from Dortmund: …ask question about Man Utd understand how good Sancho really is!

I think there was a massive effort at grass roots about 15 years ago after the Golden Generation ultimately failed and started getting old. I remember it being touted as the same thing the Spanish and Germans had done to revamp their national side. Seems to have worked, there’s a lot of good young English players coming through who are much more technical than previous generations.

Also helps when you’ve got a manager that doesn’t try to fit all these players into a flat 442.

There was also the FA's head of elite development, Gareth Southgate to oversee things plus our under 21 manager, Gareth Southgate did a good job getting the older ones of this group used to international football and working with the other managers overseeing the younger players to make them ready. The current manager, Gareth Southgate appears to be reaping the benefits now.

I know the ages don't match up exactly

I think that if more people here will see how inteligent player he is their view on Rashford’s decision making will be even bigger „WTF?”

Said it before. He reminds me of Neymar.
it’s the step over, body feint, lays the ball off then blasts past his marker that is identical.

I can see him fitting in with Bruno and Pogba really well.

I love a footballer who always plays with his head up, you can even see it while he's dribbling.

Donny would love him. He could one touch sideways pass the length of the pitch with Jadon! Not that he’ll be on the pitch.
If we can get Varane then i’d happily see DvB in midfield alongside Fred, that’s proper footballing side.

Dont discount Martial in my opinion. Had a poor season last year but so did many in the league
You know I’m pretty interested to see the link up between Martial and Sancho. Just think with Sancho he now has someone to work with who will find the little moves, who he can then pass to or just feed back in to space.

Guessing but I presume Cavani will get an extended vacation. Rashford op, and Sancho will probably be a bit late as well but back before the other two. So front 3 of Sancho, Martial, Greenwood/Amad to start the season.

You get the best out of Sancho when you give him people who will pass and move and give him the ball. Getting a tingly feeling deep down about next season.

Few things I'd say about Sancho:

- upon his current trajectory, has the potential to one day be the BPITW/ Ballon D'Or winner

- the ability to raise the bar for an entire attack

- one of the best combination footballers in the game - anyone who can play proper 1 and 2-touch football is going to be on cloud 9 interacting with him.

- On a technical level, he goes right up by Pogba as the best at the club.

- covers RW, AM, LW. Could easily make any of those his home.

- NOT better on the left than the right, and it's annoying that's already seems to have become legion on the caf. As some have pointed out, it's all about the full-back's contribution. Sancho was exceptional linked up with Hakimi on the right.

- Will free up a ton of space for others in the attack as he needs doubling and tripling up to contain (or one exceptional opposing player).

- exceptional through-ball passer and also in laying the ball off into onrushing team-mates stride.

- Encourages fluidity and cross-positional interchange as one player takes up the position just vacated by a team-mate and psuedo roles are formed momentarily. Something we've not really had since halcyon days of Ronaldo, Rooney and Tevez rampaging and switching positions on the fly.

I really hope the refs in the PL call the fouls on him because he's going to be getting a lot of them and it will be downright rotten if he gets the James treatment. He's great as an individual, but he's even better in a technical team who can bounce ideas and technique as quickly as he does. There's also a pre-requisite level of intelligence needed to make off the ball runs in anticipation of Sancho finding his mark. Cavani really should be in his element having Sancho pick out his runs.

Suffice it to say, this is a signing I believe there is no better than - in an open market, you are talking Messi, Neymar and Mbappe as the other forwards he should be bracketed with, but then, you look at his age profile, nationality and likelihood of seeing out his career here, he's literally the best signing United could have made, imo.

Truly exciting times, and I bet those of you with kids are going to be inundated with 'Sancho' kit requests soon enough as he has it in him to capture and captivate a fanbase and be an idol for youngsters coming up.

Agree with everything you said there!

Which means he’ll be slagged off on here within 2 games ;)

He showed flashes of brilliance throughout the game but Ukraine kept him fairly quiet. I still saw enough to get excited though. He's technically on par with Greenwood but with better decision making.
He'll be even quieter against Premier League defences.

It will be a curious thing to see how he is received because he doesn't think or play in that perfunctory, scripted manner we've become accustomed to - more when something he tries doesn't come off, I guess. His flicks and tricks all have a purpose and are intended to buy time or assess the weaknesses and habits of his opponents, which he'll use against them in the future - I hope people register that and don't think he's some clown if what he's tried hasn't worked.

If he hits the ground running, he'll be given more leeway, I reckon. I'm more curious how his team-mates interact with him and how the refs treat him as that'll play a part in how well we do as a whole.

Understandably not getting drawn on his upcoming transfer :D

Are we gonna start overrating him already? He had an average game yesterday and didnt set the world on fire. He need to up the game a lot before im rating him as top class player.

I mean he is rated a top class player because statistically in every way he has been since his career took off at 17/18

He had an ok game. I liked how he played but the performance is being overhyped because if this is how he played every week people would want more than that

Nothing special yesterday bar that one run through the middle from one side to the other

It was his first start, for an international side that until then looked disjointed and failed to convince. People liked his performance because they saw some of his qualities. More over, most people excited about Sancho aren’t basing it on a solo outing for England, and have watched him play plenty. His numbers are also undeniable and corroboration that he’s incredibly productive on a weekly basis.

Exactly, it was a decent game but nothing special. Foden-esque (Foden in this tournament) and actually not as good as Saka’s performance.
But he was also probably instructed to keep it simple. Then he also doesn’t have the standing in the team like Sterling or Kane, so he plays a little within himself for England. He knows a few mistakes and he will be out of the team again.

Purely based on how they linked up for the u23s, and how Jadon loves to give and go, I feel in a few years the one touch passing of Amad, Sancho and Mejbri is going to be pure sex.

So we can once say "its coming home" in the sense of a generational talent bombing the right of old trafford for the next 10 years?

Oh this is fun

True. His game was better than Fodens two though imo

And we all know how good Foden is.

It will probably take him a but to get up to speed with the league and that's ok imo.

cafe trolls, think they know more about football than pros who have spent their lives in top level football :boring:

That's Keano, Scholes and Rooney levels of competitiveness. Wow. I didn't think it before now, but Sancho would have absolutely been a Fergie type signing.

Reminded me of Michael Jordan in that documentary.
