I fully respect Dortmund wanting a set fee, but Jesus Christ, their whole business model Is based on buying young players cheap and selling them on a few years later at profit.

They need to be very careful if they want this business model to continue. Personally if I was a top young talent ready to break through, id be looking at this Sancho situation and would only be looking to sign for Dortmund if a realistic buy out clause was inserted into my contract.

I think Haaland has done that.

Maybe future players will do the same too. This saga does leave a bitter taste in the mouth and while I can appreciate what Dortmund do, part of me would like to see them humbled.

Jan Aage Fjortoft aka Mr. Full-time Bullshitter.... Fabrizio Romano aka Mr. Part-time Bullshitter..

Earlier: Dortmund have lowered their asking price for Jadon Sancho to around £78 million [€90m]. Today: Dortmund wants €95m:wenger:

Prices increase when you negotiate with Dortmund:lol:

I want Sancho, but I don’t want Dortmund to feck with us. Let’s stop this shit and leave the negotiations if Dortmund doesn’t accept £78m [€90m] in total.
Thank feck Haaland has a release clause. Will make next summer a lot easier

I don’t blame the club for not giving in to Dortmund’s ridiculous demands.

If they are going to continue to be this stubborn I don’t see a deal happening, nor should it.

Convinced this is all about Dortmund claiming they got the price they wanted all along. Think this will soon be done.

They are either stubborn like mules or thick as shit. If they refuse to negotiate, then we should stop stroking their ego really.

80 million Euros + 10 million add ons. Offer on the table until we decide to pull it when another good option becomes available.

Yeah it was always €95m + addons.

Sancho is a good player but not great player.
Yes, he has potential but that is what we are dealing with.
He is not blessed with great pace, physically he can be dominated, his defensive duties are not great. His best asset is his intelligent play and awareness.
Is he worth 95M euros plus. No, not at this time.
Will he turn us into PL winners? No.
United's offer is a reasonable one given all the circumstances. Walk away otherwise and move on.

must be a bit gutting to go from being a professional footballer in the PL, scoring goals for a living, to talking absolute codshit on twitter for months about another footballer maybe changing football clubs

Maybe United only try to disrupt Dortmund; keep other clubs away from Sancho this window, so we can get him even cheaper next year:drool:

Feck Dortmund and their demands. How about they start negotiating instead of being spoiled brats. 90 mill + add ons? We're not going to pay that so either negotiate or we move on. Or atleast that's what we should do... but knowing us we will spend all summer messing about and end up without a right winger once again...

How are Dortmund the prats in this if they named the price and its US that won't move on? I totally agree that we either pay or move on. But the fact negotiations are still ongoing despite knowing the price makes us look foolish not them.

It's clear we are killing time in the window to hope they cave for a lower price with less time to go.

Feck off Jan, feck of Dortmund. I hope they get relegated or something. The sitting on high horses, face saving, PR prioritizing bunch of pricks.

Phew that felt good.

Why? So far every youngster was sold, even at the prices Dortmund is asking. And I'm not quite sure why so many people on here get so irate over Dortmunds asking prices. If Real comes tomorrow and wants Greenwood and he wants to go there, should we just let him leave for 30M quid because it's his "dream move"?

They're getting irate because some United fans think they have a claim on the player and dortmund have no right to ask for a high price

Both Berger and Jan said yesterday no new bid was put in... Berger has now admitted a new improved bid has gone in then added his own BS saying it's still not good enough for Dortmund.
Jan admitted a new bid had gone in, then updated to say no bid had gone in later on in the day and nothing has changed. Now he's saying no new bid and United are working internally to get it done?

Both of them are full of crap. For one, i seriously doubt Jan is that well connected that he knows what United are doing internally regarding a bid, and Berger is just trying to make himself sound more ITK than he might be. Both of them are talking utter crap in my opinion!

We sold the best player in the world to Madrid when he had years left on his contract because the club gave him our word.
There was a pandemic that allowed Dortmund to technically keep their promise to Sancho about a suitable bid but allowed them to set a feck you price.

Keep calm fellow muppets. There will be several instances that try our mettle, when I think it is quite obvious we are far more serious about getting the deal done this summer. It might be next week or next month, but this will get done. Stay the course.

I think they're both connected but the journalists in Germany will have different sources from those in England.

I think the briefs change in a pressure tactic from the clubs too, so I just don't bother caring for any updates until its a here we go from Romano. Romano may well appear to say things in hindsight but that's because he rarely jumps the gun or pre emptively reports. If its done, hel say it. Until then, we sit back and just enjoy a good Euro tournament. There's too many sensitive posts about Dortmund and an itch to get Sancho announced now compared to say 2 weeks time, when in my opinion it makes zero difference because the euros are on anyway. He's not coming to Carrington any earlier even if we announce transfer subject to medical in 2 hours time.

To anyone getting edgy, as Super Hans would say - just chill out, have a bath and a magnum.

I imagine more people are pissed at the manner of these negotiations.
Either we pay the price or we move on.
It was boring last season, and it is tedious this season.

Relax people. This seems very close by now. Anyway..

€95m aren't ridiculous for such a player. Compare it with prices that are demanded for way less promising outlets. Sancho is arguably the biggest talent in the world right now. There are almost no transfers this window because it's a seller's market right now. But if Hakimi is worth €60m then Sancho is worth €+100m. Most Dortmund fans weren't happy that the club "only" demanded €120m last season, they wanted to get more than they got for Dembele (€140m) because Sancho is different beast of a player AND he's English on top of it. You can imagine what they think of a €95m fee.

They are either stubborn like mules or thick as shit. If they refuse to negotiate, then we should stop stroking their ego really.

If you want to hurt them, pay what they demand. They'd be cheering if you left the negotiation because they don't even want to sell. Just like last season, Sancho staying is the dream 90% of Dortmund fans don't even dare dreaming.

Yeah and SAF sad it was a mistake, that he didn't ask enough for Ronaldo. Let alone that 80M back then was way more considering compared to what players go for these days.

On top of that, the question was if you were okay if we would let our biggest talents just go for cheap because a more prominent club wants him?

Do they not need the money then? Serious question, I've not been keeping up with their financials.

Indeed and yet there have been so many of their tweets since theyre the ones most active... really weird how Hamberger and Jan came up with the same story. With Romano sitting on the back, replicating the same messages.

It's all semantics however you decide to explain it which is the point and highlights how absolutely ridiculous it is that people are splitting heirs over the terminology being used by different journalists.

United and Dortmund are negotiating over the deal. It's that simple.

You’re absolutely right mate.

What Romano are you talking about because surely this can't be Fabrizio because he literally jumps onto every transfer story and add his typical nonsense and regurgitates everything ad nauseum that's basically his mo .

Its not cheap though? We were bidding 100m last year in a pademic window! The deadline was like 4 days after the Leicester game when we didnt know if we had CL or not. The whole thing was ridiculous.
Its like saying a car is for sale, put the price out of reach and you want an answer there and then

Its also weird how the same German source claimed there wasnt a bid when the frauds said there was last week. Now theyre jumping on tier 1 news and linking it back to their old news that the same tier 1 said wasnt true.
Its a joke.

I don't think they need to sell anybody. Not selling Sancho would prevent them from signing other players, though. But generally, Dortmund is very healthy financially due to them operating very conservatively all in all. Among the top clubs with the lowest debt internationally. Of course they would sell if the right offer comes in but I believe that if they could choose freely without having to consider the Gentlemen's Agreement with the player, they would probably demand around €150m including bonuses.

Also, what many people forget: Sancho's camp essentially agreed with this evaluation of him. Everybody who criticizes Dortmund for demanding that much should also criticize Sancho.
