Come on Dortmund, he is not even good enough to start for England, just give us abit of discount and call it a deal at around 85m euros plus 5m add ons. Everyone's happy.
Agree.

People accuse United for being arrogant, but in this case Dortmund is the arrogant part.

It’s Dortmund privilege to say what they want for him, but they don’t own the truth regarding his value. It’s time for Dortmund to start negotiation and find the middle ground between offer and demand.

I’ve earlier said €85m is a fair price. We shouldn’t let €5m stop the deal, so €90m in total is ok by me, but at some point we have to stop this shit and say enough is enough.

“Dortmund have lowered their asking price for Jadon Sancho to around £78 million [€90m].

RN: 95m + add ons. The rest like Bild, Berger, English journos: 90m + add ons.
I think they are demanding a guaranteed 95m.

Dortmund’s pet journalists are pushing the narrative as “95m base +addons”

United are taking the negotiating position of “87m base to reach 95m with achievable addons”.

My gut feeling says United’s latest bid would probably be enough but for us asking to spread the payments over 4/5 years when Dortmund want it over a shorter period or more up front.

I know its a dig at Southgate but I honestly do think they have the best attack in Europe. They just need to be allowed to.
Yes.. It isn’t very controversial to play Foden before Sancho, and it also isn’t very controversial to play Mahrez before Sancho. People shouldn’t be surprised if Sancho is third alternative on both RW and LW.

Sancho is a very good player, but some people have to face the fact that Premier League is the best league in the world.

How long after the first bid was it rejected and news broke of it being rejected? Pretty sure that it was the same day, within a couple of hours.
This bid hasn't been rejected, and as far as we know, it's being considered still, so i'm guessing it's pretty much what Dortmund want, just a couple of things to iron out before they accept.

If it was rejected right away again, then i'd understand it not being good enough etc. The fact that, to our knowledge, it hasn't, surely means that it's pretty much what they want, but just a few tweaks needed?

Advice to everyone is to just relax, signing him now won't mean anything, he's at the Euros. I'm sure the deal will be done so no need to panic. Boy wants to be here, that much is clear and we want him. Just enjoy the Euros, Copa America, enjoy summer with your families and don't let muppetism drive you crazy.

Earlier: Dortmund have lowered their asking price for Jadon Sancho to around £78 million [€90m]. Today: Dortmund wants €95m:wenger:

Prices increase when you negotiate with Dortmund:lol:

I want Sancho, but I don’t want Dortmund to feck with us. Let’s stop this shit and leave the negotiations if Dortmund doesn’t accept £78m [€90m] in total.

It’s find to put a value on your player but how much exactly do they want to profit from the sale? They literally stole him from City’s academy for 8M! This high and mighty non negotiable thing just grates me. Let’s see how Sancho is left with just a one year contract next year and they’ll be begging for buyers then

Haven’t we offered like the 10th highest transfer fee in history during a pandemic economy for a player with only 2 years on his deal!? Don’t know how good he is! We’ve been trying to sign him every summer since 2017

Thats probably why they want it done this summer and it's very highly likely that a deal will be done before long, if not done already.
Sancho probably won't renew, and if he has a year left on his contract, there is absolutley no way they're getting anywhere close to £75m for him. My guess is thats my United are confident this summer. I'm guessing, in my opinion, this latest bid has all but sealed it, just a couple of things to agree on, but it's probably almost done. Dortmund haven't rejected it like they did last time, it's just Mr Berger that seems to think he has exclusive info saying it's not enough etc...

Christ .. what has happened to Sky Sports News ?

I used to enjoy watching it but now it seems like its filled with people who just waffle on about something they really have no clue about, buts thats ok as long as you tick all the boxes in regard to political correctness these days.

I rarely watch anything on Sky these days, time to cancel and buy myself a fire stick etc.

Im probably well late to that party these days.

Haven’t heard any of them admit they’re English for years

Is this guy some sort of noob. Of course United know how good he is, hence why we want to buy him. Still doesn’t mean we should pay out the teeth for him.

Doesn't mean Dortmund should take our offer either though. By all accounts considering the prices other players have went for he should really be an over 100 million player.

Now because of Covid maybe that changes things.

But if Dortmund are happy to keep which clearly they are they have no reason to lower their valuation.

We wouldn't lower ours if we where in their shoes. The onus is on the team buying the player.

Thats all well and good, but when he's got a year left on his contract and won't renew, the whole situation is out of their hands and they can't demand anything.
Hence why theres a willingness to get it done this time, and not let it drag on

He has two left right now.

1 year next year. Clearly they are happy to sell for about 60-70 mil next year if we don't meet the price this year.

Sancho keeping them in the CL and helping them win a cup made it worth it for them this season. Could do the same next season.

As long as they don't care about that 25 mil difference then they are in the driving seat.

Also if this went on to next season I doubt we'd be the ones to get him so it's kind of now or never for us.

I bet you hanker for the days of: Keys, Gray, Thompson, Le Tiss and Nicholas

What happens if he still just wants Utd next year and we wont go over 30m? Thats the problem they have. There wont be any 70m bids with 1 year left. We were told we would be at the back of the line if we didnt sign him last year yet here we are. Looks as if he simply wants to sign for United.

Yup we were told the dippers and renties and even bayern would be jumping ahead of us if we didn’t complete the deal last summer and after a covid summer window. Turns out now we are still the only ones in for him and willing to meet near their price

A player with one year on their contract is highly unlikely to fetch a £60m to £70m fee in my opinion. No club will pay that much for a player they can get for free the season after.
So no, they won't be in the driving seat, they know that this is their last chance to get a super high fee for him, as he's unlikely to renew.

Didn't hazard go with 1 year left?

No idea what he is talking about.

He has absolutley no idea at all. Yes he might be connected, but in regards to this, in my opinion, he's clueless and backtracking after yesterday.
He contradicted himself yesterday saying there was a new bid, then said later on in the day there was no change when most outlets were saying there was... he's clueless

Never trust a man whose name sounds like weird hannibal lector noises.

This thread is full of twitter lies and caf members that think they know how things work behind the scenes.... you don't.
Twitter journalists know nothing either. They are just driving traffic to their brand by telling lies all day every day. They know feck all. The rest of you in here know feck all.

So stop bickering and be happy if it happenes and dont be one bit surprised if it doesn't.
Best post on this thread!

At this point we should just wait until some reputable from the BBC reports the transfer.

Romano and Fjortoft are just looking for clicks.

That Fjortoft knows nothing, he needs to be banned.

Last year he was tweeting the price of the deal and then "Number Seven" as if he had the inside scoop. He knows as much as we do, the only ones are the Dortmund based paper and Kajumba who are worth listening to.

The trap some of these 'ITK' accounts fall into is providing too much information. It's done to convince us they know what they're talking about and have inside knowledge but the actual effect is someone obviously making up small details in order to look knowledgable.

I don't doubt there are journalists that are being briefed as to the progress but it's in nobody's interest to provide details on the minutia. It's why reputable, high profile sports journalists rarely ever delve into the irrelevant details that ITKs provide because there's never any reason for these details to leak.

ITKs know the structure of bids before bid is made, how much it's for, what it covers, what the feelings are of those who made, are subject of and receive the bids, what the player ate for breakfast, whether the agent is circumcised and what time someone might be possibly scheduled on a flight in 6 days time.

Look at how many followers that Indykilla (or whatever it was) has amassed. Making up bullshit "I'm hearing...." transfer stories and amassing lots of followers isn't difficult
