Up until Coutinho is not gettable, Payet just moved to Marseille, cant see him leaving. Carrasco and Douglas would indeed be better options, have seen little of Brahimi. Dont think Coman is better, Lemar isnt leaving this summer I think either, Son isnt gettable, Lozano unproven in Europe, will go to a club like Celta de Vigo. This rumour has been going on for a few months. Since Jose went to see an international game he and Brozovic were the names touted. Haven't seen Perisic that much, most at international tournaments with Croatia.
Isn't him a workhorse? Everytime I watched him play he's everywhere he possibly can, and is rare to find a player with that work rate and a good technique that's also able to score and assist goals.
He might not be any "inho" as you say, and like you I don't get the delusions of the caf here chasing some players, for the little I know about Perisic everything says 100% Mourinho kind of player. No point in splashing 80M in some 20 y/o winger if he's going to warm the bench because Lingard works better for Jose
