Ivan Perisic

-----------------------

Boban on Perisic "He's the best Inter's player in the past 2 years. He runs like a full back and he's extremely professional. Unfortunately he comes from the Balkans therefore they criticize him for being inconsistent. I know the feeling as they pretty much said the same about me"

"I can't understand how can anyone misjudge him or why he's going to be sold. Its evident that they don't understand football. Oh well that's life. Those who think that Inter should sell him because he doesn't fit in their system (due to tactics or lack of technique) are being absurd

What is this translation Devilish?

"Supera il terzino" means "outruns the fullback" not runs like a fullback

Perisic would be like Valencia when he first joiued United.

Big engine, runs up and down the wing for 90 minutes, can outrun if not beat outright the FB to get a cross in.

Would protect the LB marvelously when we need to defend.

Limited technical repertoire.

I'm not denying Perisic is a 'Mourinho player', What I'm denying is that we should spend 50m on a 29yr old winger who hasn't exactly set the world on fire, from a club who are not renowned for selling their players for a bloody fortune like Real Madrid.
He's 28. What is with this insistence on rounding up ages around here. Just because it sounds better?

The sooner this deal is done the better! He is clearly important to Jose so get it done Woody.

Means "beats the fullback". As in, he's good at taking on his man and beat him

50m is the old 25m. Everything has doubled yo...and some tbh. The market is crazy. 70m was gonna be the sum for VVD ffs.
If that was the case how did city manage to buy one of the top rated up and coming talents for 50mn. Just last season we spent 30mn on mkhi a player a level or two above perisic, also i don't see anyone paying 70mn for vvd, city and chelsea baulked at the price rightly and the only idiots willing to pay can't deal with Southampton anymore add to that van dijk has potential to be a really great player un future, perisic does not have more than 2-3 years at top remaining.

50mn for croatian ashley young is crazy and before people go crazy over comparison that is what he is. Decent pace, an eye for odd goal and inconsistent final ball, atleast young had trickery perisic does not even have that, if young we signed was playing in serie a today he would have similar nos.

Another one.

They're not.

Just so you know, there is a line,if you cross it,you will be in NL Max territory, there is no coming back after that  . I mean will defend you if it comes to that but lunatics will mention you every time Perisic screws up. Even today if someone mentions Depay...

Personally I don't care. I will forever fight against posters who write about things they don't have a clue about. :D
I know I'm on a dangerous path.

People still spouting this Ashley Young shite

Perisic would be one of the best wingers in the league if he made the move here. Some of you are utterly clueless.

Ashley Young is not a bad comparison in terms of the overall quality of the player from what I've seen. The Ashley Young we signed from Villa that is not the current one.

Italian is very difficult to translate in english and there are terms that make perfect sense in italian and look silly in english. Supera means exceeds. Corre, means runs. Which means, he runs, he exceeds the fullback and is a very serious man.

Really don't understand the hate Perisic is getting. And the thing is, it's from the same people who would be first to call out an expensive flop saying we don't need to spend on names, we need the right player for the system.

When that looks to be the case, the shoe quickly hops to the other foot again.

http://www.calciomercato.com/news/i...an-united-per-perisic-rifiuto-in-arrivo-16674

------
Basically

a- Luciano Spaletti doesn't want to convince any players to stay.
b- United had placed a new bid of 40m which will be refused (Inter want 55m)
c- There's already a deal between Perisic and United. However its unclear if he would handle a transfer request or if he will stay quiet and allow Inter to milk as much money from United as possible

That is what he is, in terms of actual ability there is really not much difference between perisic and the aston villa ashley young we bought.
You don't know much about him it seems. If it makes you feel better you're not the only one.

Can't wait for him to put United shirt on.

Yeah every player those clubs sign are top notch.

Not.

Such a stupid way of looking at transfers.

We have enough of players to do the dirty work. Ashley Young is here. Valencia is ready to step in whenever needed. I don't want a team full of generic players. We'd look like a typical team like the Bulgarian national squad, not a single interesting player - just players. Boooooooo :wenger:

What's wrong with a Bulgarian NT by the way?

I said a team like the Bulgarian national team. I could have said Greece, Latvia or Albania as well. They all have dull national squads with nothing going for them. I want our club to have sparkling high standard on every team member. I just noticed you are from Croatia, I suppose that influences your opinion on Perisic. Try to see this with professional eyes - the guy is not united quality. I'm sure he's a really good player who will win some stuff with Inter. I just don't want him anywhere near my club.

Inter need the money by June 30th? I see no reason why we will increase any offer we have made.

So Croatia has a dull national team too?

With players like Modrić, Rakitić,and so on. I've seen him in action for Croatia and he's anything but dull. But carry on.

And sparkling high standard on every player? wow. You are ambitious.

I don't think Croatia has a dull team. I actually think Croatia is one of the most underrated teams in Europe. Together with the Netherlands it's usually the team I support during a competition. The team is usually built up from 4-5 extremely great players and then the rest of the players fill out. Perisic is unfortunately just a player to fill a hole. Dull player. He's not coming, end of story.
