Lingard has more pace and better all round player. Serie-a made him look fast, but when he was in bundesliga he barely ran behind defender.
If Jose just wanted a far better dribbler, skillful, and stronger than Lingard he should bring Memphis back, not splashing stupid millions for him.
Think Lingard might be quicker yes, Lingard is really fast. All-round better, I doubt it, maybe better spacial awareness and good in the pass and move. But Lingard isnt as good offensively and defensively.

The pace we will have to see, he can beat by pace but also by dribbling and usage of two feet, good crosser (which we dont have) and he has output. Better than Memphis surely.

Things have gone quiet on this front. Inter Milan's asking price must have been too high and put us off.

Reports in Italy are Spalletti convinced the club to increase his price further. Which is to say, they want to keep him

I thought Inter had to sell some players to comply with FFP?

I wouldn't mind Perisic, but I'd rather have Insigne

Or this was BS from the start, which would be my guess.
Nah, interest in the player was clearly true. Probably even had agreed a deal with his agents. It's just that inter wants more money than you're willing to spend

They do, which is why they were even considering selling perisic in the first place

Guess the combination of Spalletti wanting to keep him and Mancini taking over at Zenith has made them even more confident in their strategy re: perisic -only sell for outrageous offer-

Perisic, moratta, martial/rashford with miki behind them. People moan about pace last season. Here is you pace.
I hope that we will close deal for him but it is awfully queit about about him

Let's wait till Spalletti says his word about him. I guess he's the only factor that will determine if he's leaving or not.

Yeah, watching Croatia was the first hint. Same with Mkhi last season, where he went to watch Dortmund.

What formation is that

Only since we sold Nani, Di Maria, Zaha. So its been only 1 year since we had an out an out line hugging winger. People exaggerate a lot.

Zaha barely played for us. Di Maria is more of a creative winger, rather than a touch-line hugging winger like Perisic. Nani didn't play much for us since 12/13 and that's quite a long time in football.

Closest would be Valencia, but he is a full-back these days.

Luciano Spalletti "We've got to convince no one to stay. Inter is at the peak of football and its the players who need to convince the club to be allowed to remain here and not viceversa. I am enjoying my arrival to Inter. If there are people who do not share my enthusiasm for the club then they are better off leaving it. They should always work in places were they feel motivated in"

Someone should tell him what the word peak means.

Di Marzio's sources are impeccable, and the story of Mou's interest is months long, a
since he went to Croatia to watch him play
Perisic was suspended for that game so he clearly didn't go there to watch him play and I'm sure Di Marzio has gotten a thing or two wrong in the past.

So all that's needed is to convince Perisic to inform Spaletti that he doesn't share his enthusiasm. Sounds easy...

The sooner we get this done the better. Everyone can then stop arguing and get behind him. Hopefully Jose will be able to get the best out of him.

Hope we just meet in the middle and sign him for €50m. I'm bored of all the whining about money, I just want us to get all the players Jose wants.

40m is actually the best price for him. 50m, not bad but 60m is actually too much even by my standard that I don't care much about money.

I hope as you that we can get it at the middle. I'm sure he'll be a good option for us, more than many people here believe actually.

Ffs. Inter is being a bit crazy asking for 60m. Hopefully we get this sorted soon for around €45m. Pretty confident that he'd do really well on the left for Mourinho. Especially with morata in the box as an aerial threat, could prove a good combo.

Cant believe we are still begging here. We should go with 40m in our hand to Fiorentina and go for Bernardeschi, who is an Inter/Juve target. They would happily sell him to us.

Di Maria has and can be a touchline winger though. He has the tools and has played on the left many times. the others you are correct in your assessment but it wasn't my point. I was responding to those who said Perisic is practically the 1st "old school" winger we have had

Can't believe how negative people are about this guy he is a solid winger and will do the job Jose wants. I really think he will surprise alot of people on here. Last year we lacked players who could do a job out wide, our wide players where non existant in alot of matches . And 50million buys you what exactly? prices are ridiculous. I like the fact we are trying to build a team that works rather than a team of flavours of the month.

I just can't believe we havent at least tested Arsenal with an equivalent bid for Sanchez. They would seriously have to consider £50m for a player who can leave for free in 6 months. I'm just surprised that Perisic is the first option, when there are other viable targets worth pursuing before him.
