He is very quick and two footed player, how anyone can say his weaker foot is not that strong is beyond me. Some Bayern fan spouted that first and then somehow it became a norm here to say "his weaker foot isn't that strong".

Yep. Equally good with both. I can't even make out if he is a righty or lefty most of the time.

Maybe now people have seen a glimpse of him they will stop calling him a turd. I honestly think he will shock people here. very solid player. And Lukaku will thrive with him around.

People that were calling him a turd had never seen him play.

If he's playing today would it be right to think the deal isn't anywhere near completion? I doubt it he'll be a United player at the end of the transfer window.

I think we've walked away from the deal. Inter are asking for too much.

It's more that he has been a good professional, another thing in his favour, unlike some who have pulled the old sickie trick. Deals can be done in days if we still want him.

Yeah that's true, it's better that he doesn't refuse to play or have training ground bust ups.
I've not really been keeping up with the Perisic transfer, is it still even on?

Their manager does not want to sell him. If we want him we will have to dig deep in our pockets. From his comments I can now understand why he wants Martial on loan for a season, he said it is too late for them to find a replacement for Perisic.

Fellaini, Mata, Shaw, Herrera, Blind, Di Maria, Rojo, Falcao, Memphis, Darmian, Schweinsteiger, Schneiderlin, Romero, Martial, Bailly, Zlatan, Mkhitaryan, Pogba

Every signing bought to solve a problem yet the vast majority of them simply created another issue that we needed to address. The end result being:

7th, 4th, 5th, 6th

This doesn't make much sense.

Under Moyes and LVG, United had to recreate the core and backbone of SAFs teams all while trying to compete for the league and play at certain levels. The quickest and most logical way to build a winning side is to buy players.

There were more misses than hits, obviously. But hindsight is 20/20. Jose is one or two players short from his core group of players. Some currently are in the United squad, but their performance levels haven't reached that core player status such as Pogba, Herrera, DDG, Bailly, Lukaku, Rashford, Valencia

I feel for the lad, he will have some much pressure on his shoulders IF he finally arrives, i feel Woody should have coughed up the money pre-Lakaku! to bring him in under the radar as such.

I hope Perisic turns out as good as Tony V in the sense that he wasn't the most exciting transfer but on the pitch he delivered exactly what was asked of him.

We appear to be waiting either for Inter to drop their price, or (as this scenario is looking increasingly similar to our pursuit of Morata) we are now looking at other targets. That seems to be looking more and more likely to me.
Some have suggested RM may still go for Mbappe, and that would probably act as a catalyst for other possible targets to become available. I think there could be some merit to that scenario. Why not simply bide our time and see if other events develop, or not? But, if there are no new developments, we still have the security of knowing we can always go back and stump up the 50m for Perisic.

Yup, one of his biggest strength is he is very two footed, I remember he scored some great goals with his left foot with Croatia

.

Rumour was we tried by lowballing Inter in the hopes that they would need to cash in to avoid FFP sanctions. Didn't quite work out as hoped.

Watched his good showing against Chelsea earlier. Not surprised at all he had a good game. If Ousmane Dembele isn't gettable then we need to bring Perisic in, he will frighten opposition fullbacks.

I still find that 'defensive winger' label hilarious . What a load of shite .

Anyone can look good in a pre-season friendly. Plenty of our shite has done so in the past. Let's not go overboard.

He is does not mean he would improve us though.

Would improve the squad for sure, just don't like the fee. The only player in our squad potentially better on the wing is Martial IMO

He without a doubt would improve us. His pace and ability to go on the outside would give us an extra string to our bow. With his ability to stretch opposing defences would make us tactically much more flexible.
