Perisic is a more of a traditional winger. He will hug the line more then Mkhitaryan/Martial so he would give us some width and at 6ft2 he's got the inches Mou is so obsessed with in midfield. Mou would also expect Martial to shadow him and hopefully become the winger Mou wants. I think we need a Perisic type of player as we're too narrow at times.
Perisic signing is food for thought. With a more traditional winger in the team is Mou going to rely on Griezmann as our lone striker? Or would we be playing Griezmann as an SS with someone like Belotti/Lukaku upfront? I think we'll go for the latter option

Perisic' pace (acceleration/sprint speed) in Football Manager is 16/15 and 82/87 in FIFA whereas Rashford's pace is 18/17 and 91/90. Point me to another one on this forum that agrees with you that Perisic is faster than Rashford.

It's hard to compare their pace in any other objective way. When the professionals at EA and SI agree on something they're usually correct. Ask anyone on this forum then and see who they think is faster. You realize you're the only one here saying that? It's crazy. I think it's fair to use FIFA and FM as arguments when arguing about pace, when they're both are in agreement that is. I've worked as a data editor for EA myself editing player stats for my local team and I know how much they strive to have a database as accurate as possible. It's a better argument than Ban showing me a video of Perisic running alongside a player I've never heard of.

The databases are highly serious and a number of clubs are using the FM database as a scouting tool. Obviously they aren't always accurate but it's the only objective way of comparing their pace that I could think of.

If we are actually buying Peresic as a winger then I can't see the point, if we were paying Blind/Darmian money for him as a stop gap until we can get someone good then ok, but at the price Lemar is twice the player. As for Martial, if Jose wants him to be a traditional winger we might as well sell him, he'll never be that IMO.
I agree that it will be the latter, you can't play 4-3-3 with Peresic as he doesn't offer nearly enough goal threat, we'd need a #9 to play up top with Griezmann in behind and Pogba shackled in a midfield 2.
