Loan Martial to them, I would approve, but not sell.
I can't be the only one who, despite knowing how absurd this would be, that if Mourinho's low opinion of Martial remains, he might consider it.....

No chance , we are already short of attacking players who'd improve us and we are not going to give one away even on loan , and also besides we are in ucl and inter are not. Why should martial take a step back.

Mou isnt the type of person to give second chances to players after an entire underwhelming season. Martial would have gone by now if Mou didnt think he had the potential to be a special player.

ivan-perisic link has been lingering for far too long and time wasting. It's not like he is the only attacker available on the market.

Just give Inter the final offer, take it or leave it up to them. Then move on.

I think it's safe to ignore these Martial claims. If Mourinho really is willing to sell Martial to buy Perisic, I'd genuinely question whether we're moving forward as a club.

This one seems to be ticking over just like the Morata one. I think this guy is a target, but not our primary target. If we get a wiff from our primary target then we'll drop this like a sack of shit.
Yeah, I've had the same thoughts recently. This has dragged on in a similar fashion, with us seemingly going around in circles regarding bidding and rejections. Hopefully, this is just our way of telling the club of our real target to hurry up and perhaps avoid looking like Chelsea re Lukaku if they don't join.

No evidence yet that we are. Next season is clearly hugely significant in that respect.

Inter have enquired to his availability as part of the Persic deal, that doesn't mean Jose is willing to accept. Far from it I would imagine.

Inter are just trolling. No way on earth we'd would even consider Martial as part of the Perisic deal.

This is the big problem, players like Perisic and Willian are becoming less and less common these days so there really isn't that many to choose from.
Not really true. Vitolo is better than perisic and just joined Atletico for 40m. Forsberg from Leipzig. Costa from Bayern. Carrasco, moura (slightly different type). You could easily find 4-5 other players who are somewhat similar and viable alternatives.

There is this idea that he is super hard working but that is not true. Perisic is by no means some kind of specialist. He is your run-of-the-mill winger.
It is one thing to argue that he is good enough and a good fit. Fair enough. No need to turn him into something that he is clearly not.

Agreed. I was saying the same thing. I can't see any way we'd consider such a deal.

To reference moneyball. These are tough decisions to explain if they don't work out.
There is nothing to explain here- you don't sell one of your best youngster because he had a bad season.

I absolutely don't want our own version of Debruyne or Lukaku

One outlet is reporting they want Martial + 20mill... there are no words that can adequately summarise that shit.. or rage felt just at the mere notion of being offered those terms.

We should have spent the money on sadio mane last summer and convinced him to choose us.

Inter are being super greedy using perisic as a cash cow.

They know they're chancing their arm. There's no way we'd let Martial go.

Perisic will probably sign for us in mid-August for around 40m but I think we can safely place this latest one on the bullshit pile.

They've just priced themselves out. feck off Inter.

I think he will be playing from the left and Mkhitaryan from the right. Martial and Rashford will have to make due with the minutes they can get in any position being it left right or center but they simply aren't good enough atm to be nailed on for a starting position.

He plays more often on the left, but that's where we have those two extremely gifted young players. I don't think we will stunt their development when Perisic can play on the right (I'm not expecting 442). Miki is anything but a conventional winger also. He's probably better playing behind the striker or having more freedom. In any case, Miki will have competition this season.

If we lose Martial in any deal involving Perišić, there will be uproar.

Every match we would hear: "Martial would have scored that".

I don't know where this low opinion myth has come from. Mourinho has acknowledged his talent on several occasions.

Mourinho sold De Bruyne and Lukaku and not because he'd didn't think they had talent.

I doubt he sells Martial but it wouldn't really be out of character.

Even Inter know that is not going to happen, they are playing hardball over Perisic.

In the end, we'll meet their asking price of €55 million and he'll be signed.

Clearly they both were not ready back then to play in the first team and needed minutes and he let them leave as they would not get the game time for the philosophy mourinho was setting chelsea with. Many managers have let players go which have shined in other clubs Including Ferguson Wenger Pep guardiola and barcelona's and real madrid's .

Singling out Mourinho as its only mourinho who did this is very daft. Yes he and chelsea should have added buy back and sell on clauses but its the buisness side of things which only came into light after massive inflation hit.

It's a fair point as De Brunye was allowed to leave as his work ethic and desire was not up to Mou's standard.

We're not Chelsea

Also a fair point. Woody would not want to see him leave.
