Television It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia

"Charlie doesn't know what a diversion is apparently, he just ran directly into the house!"

Delivery of that line is so good

It's those lines they deliver so well, I can't explain how they do it but certain things are just so perfect

Worked my way back through each series in reverse order (episodes in correct order but series backwards). Didn't intend to do that but it's happened. It's the best thing to have on while doing something and even better when actually watching properly.
Not bad considering I stopped watching this after a few episodes originally, before giving it a second chance.

My only wish is they'd continue some themes for longer than an episode. They could definitely have got some good stories out of the student bar thing for at least half a series.

Charlie is great in the second series. Specially in Mac Bangs Dennis' Mom

Yea, it replaced The Office for me for the show I have on while doing other things. 10/10 for rewatch value.

I always just randomly remember things from this and chuckle at them to myself. Today it's when they're having that funeral for Mac and Charlie when they turn the music on it shits the life out of Mac's mum who was sleeping

God knows how many times I've watched all the episodes now. If there's nothing I fancy on Netflix, it's my go-to.

"Dee, you gangly uncoordinated bitch. I am not getting hog-tied over your lack of grace."

Holy shit, I just watched that episode like 20 mins ago you psychic

Probably the best sitcom ever. Only 'Malcolm in the Middle' can compare.
Agree with both, and I only realised how much I loved the latter when I saw the re-runs on sky a few months back

Absolutely love always sunny though, everything from the theme tune and the little interludes to the sheer brilliance of the characters.

When's the new series out?

Other commitments. Kaitlin Olson has The Mick, Charlie is in loads of stuff these days, Glenn Howerton isn't sure if he'll even be back for it which makes me worried.

If only they had it on canadian netflix... have to settle for annoying shit quality links online so i never rewatch any of them.

I'm not even sure I could take them seriously in anything else. They should bin everything off immediately

I've been watching through it again on Netflix and it noticeably takes a nosedive quality wise around the tenth season.

Glenn's got a new Lorne Michaels sitcom coming too.

I think he'll be back though. The hiatus was a good way to really sell the storyline in the final episode of Season 12 that he might not be. His Twitter activity is still very Sunny-heavy. He did an AMA not long back, and he said he'd like to do a Sunny movie eventually, and that was after Season 12 ended. They renewed for season 13 and 14 after they'd finished shooting season 12 too.

I'd guess they're just taking a year to do other stuff. It's only TV gossip sites that are really pushing the "he's not coming back!" angle.

Made it back to the first episode. It's weird seeing how (kind of) normal they are.

Apparently leaving Netlfix for Hulu.

Bastards, it's like 60% of what I watch on Netflix. With the price increase and this, probably gonna cancel Netflix now.

Edit: Leaving USA only. Phew.

I had the same panic yesterday too. I have the show on a constant rotation between watching other stuff. I'd definitely be cancelling Netflix if it was leaving.

Netflix has exclusive rights to the show in the UK. Even FX can't show it anymore in the UK, and they own the show. Hulu's not coming to the UK any time soon, so that should remain the case for a good while, thankfully.

Facccck. Netflix has put It's Always Sunny in the 'New Releases' section for some reason. I thought there was a new season :(

Faaaack. @VeevaVee bumped the IASIP thread, I thought there was news!

I believe it's been filmed currently, there was a Reddit post of Kaitlyn Olson's Snapchat and Glenn howerton was with her.

She said thanks for stopping by so I don’t think he’s in the whole season. Maybe an episode but I really hope I’m wrong!

Looks like season 13 is going to involve ripped Mac. Not bad for a 41 year old!

"Try to move me bro!"

That whole scene is great.

Been meaning to rewatch all the episodes recently. I'm terrified of showing it to my girlfriend on the chance she doesn't like it  Because I think it helps a lot to know the characters and she already knows it's my favourite show so her expectations are so high, I can't risk her not liking it.

Took me ages to get my missus in to it too. I picked some episodes early on that I didn't think needed much explanation other than "it's a bunch of horrible people who run a bar", but she wasn't feeling it. Months later, she came home as I was watching 'The Great Recession' episode, and she was hooked from then.

"We're crab people now!"

Like many others in this thread, it’s my go to show when I’m not bothered watching anything else. It’s so good. Watched Reynolds V Reynolds: The Cereal Defence again last night.

Mac’s posters are brilliant and his evolution argument is great. Also, any time Charlie acts like a lawyer is quality. The end where they just blame Dee and walk back into the bar is classic It’s Always Sunny. I Don’t find it loses its appeal despite having watched it loads which is impressive.

I find it helps that with every watch you notice a reaction or something somebody says in the background that you didn't see before and it becomes just as funny all over again.
