Pujara is probably ahead of Kohli right now (though Kohli has a better record away) but you must be Ajinkya Rahane himself to think he is better than Kohli.
How many knocks has Kohli played that would justify you calling him 'the outstanding player of his generation'?
One in South Africa in 26 tests. And averages 42 after playing 13 of those tests at home. Average of 37 away.
And 'opinion soon will materialize as fact' -- I think it needs to be a little more based on reality if you are going to claim he is the outstanding player of his generation. Kohli is clearly a good batsman but right now he's on the level of Joe Root and the likes in test cricket.
