India vs. Australia

Dhoni letting Ganguly captain for last few wickets. Nice

I am just glad Ganguly had a good last series. He deserved to go on a high and he did. The last innings duck had a Bradman sort of touch to it.

Best series win ever. Class stuff from Dhoni. I had my doubts about him when he was handed the ODI captaincy but now it's obvious that he's the best man for the job.

Great win for India, despite being Australian I'm quite happy with the loss. It's about time we started to lose some games and maybe now the selectors will be willing to blood some other players.

First port of call is including Shaun Marsh, and fecking off Cameron White. WHY pick a 'designated spinner' that doesn't even bowl himself in his state side?

Second, work on Kreija's stock ball. I'm happy with him getting belted around so long as he takes wickets, ala McGill, but really he needs to be able to tighten right up - and only really conceed when he's chasing wickets.

Thirdly, DEVELOP a young paceman. What I'd do to see an Ishant Sharma (who, BTW, I tipped for superstardom the first time I saw him... Will end up being up there with McGrath).

India have Sharma, Sri Lanka have Malinga, South Africa have Steyn... I suppose we have Johnson and to a lesser extent Tait, but they don't inspire me with too much confidence, though I have to admit Johnson kept us in the series for the most part.

Don't you ever say their names in the same sentence! EVER! Ganguly's an overrate arrogant twat, and I'm well glad to see the back of him.

Him and Harbijan, the racist piece of shit, are shit blokes.

Will be interesting to see what Dravid decides to do now, the poor blokes reflexes are shot and he's really not up to it anymore. It would be a shame if he retires, he's been a gun for many many years.

Any chance of ponting resigning?

None.

Though what he did was supremely stupid. WHY bowl bit-part bowlers when we had you on the ropes?

And as soon as Watson came on he cleaned the rest up, he should've copped it on the chin and gone for the throat from the beginning... Instead he watched his own back.

'Cos god knows we'll need Ponting for the series against the might of NZ .

Haddin's shit BTW.

Just makes you realise how damn awesome Gilchrist actually was.

(on a side note - a few years before Gilly broke into the Australian squad, I watched him play for WA. I remember telling myself to keep tabs on this guy and so I did, kept reading his scores in the paper and I told my dad this guy will play for Australia oneday....... I have the exact same feeling of 'awesomeness' with Sharma)

both of them are top blokes and obviously you're bitter which isnt a surprise to anyone here. atleast backup you're statements with evidence and the australians have done worse. twat!

You idiot.

If you'd actually read the post you'd have realised I'm not 'bitter' at all. I wanted us to lose, you might not realise this, but it gets fecking boring when you continually clobber sides for so many years. Yes it was fun when I was young, but now days it's just horribly boring. Also for the record, VVS is my favourite player, and Sharma (like I've said above) I think is quite brilliant.

Bitter?

Anyway, the way they've acted on the field over the years proves as much as I've said. And let's not forget the whole racism incident, knobend.

Or the various reports from my mates who've met Ganguly (and the rest of the side), and had only good things to about EVERYONE ELSE. He's arrogant, thinks he's a class above (probably due to whatever that social class standing thing Indians have mind), expects everyone to wait on him, complains, only wants to stay in the best hotels compared to where the team is staying... The list goes on. Though it has to be said he's toned it down a lot since his massive drop in form a few years ago, I suppose he realised he wasn't actually the shit. It's just a shame Harbijan's taken up the mantle as king-tit of the Cricketing community.

Oh, and we've done worse than calling someone a Monkey?

Get a clue kid.

Congratulations India. Nice to see the Aussies getting it stuck to them.
I wish England did it more often

Probably will this coming Ashes series.

Just have a look at the ages of our players that'll no doubt still be plying their trade come the first test.

Great stuff.

Ganguly's an embarassing idiot. Glad to see the back of him.

i was winding you up and apparently my e-penis is bigger than yours ;)

Overrated huh? I think his record speaks for itself. Obviously he is no bradman but who is really? I was only refering to the duck in the last innings there.
Anyways, Ganguly was amongst the first guys to take on the Aussie's at their sledging game back in 2001 and you guys could never handle it and that is why most of you are bitter.

As far as Harbhajan goes, well there was no proof of any racist comments so dont call him a racist unless you have any more proof than a couple of Aussies players claiming he is.

Umm, easier said than done.

Josh Hazlewood, by the way.

I'm not bitter at all. Anyway that's not half the reason why I said what I did, if you read the whole posts you'll see where I've come from on this.

And as for the highlighted... simply LOL.

Watch the various footage of the incident. Watch the immediate reaction from the Australian players, watch Hayden say that's not on, that's racist.... etc. Then watch Harbhajan give the Monkey action to the crowds later.

He's a racist arrogant pig of a man. And while we're at it, your crowds at some of those games were atrocious.

I have seen the footage a lot of times and if there was any that suggested that harbhajan did say anything, i am sure the Aussie's would have made full use of it at the hearing. The mere fact that they didnt, shows there wasnt any footage to back their claims.

It depends on how you see it. Are you saying that Harbhajan is not allowed to even sctratch his armpits after sweating it out on the field the whole day?

He's a racist arrogant pig of a man.
Like i said, Racist is yet to be proved and it is known world over that the most arrogant cricketers in the world are the Aussies.

And while we're at it, your crowds at some of those games were atrocious.
Our crowds? wasnt the game being held in Australia? The abuse that Harbhajan got for the next 2 tests was shameful.

Symonds: ‘go and yell at your team mates, go and yell at your team mates’

Symonds: ‘you called me monkey again?’

Hayden: ‘trouble is, you’ve got a witness now champ’

Tendulkar comes in.

Tendulkar clearly having words with Harbhajan

Hayden (to Tendulkar): ‘that’s the last time’

Harbhijan: ‘no listen he started it’

Hayden: ‘it doesn’t matter mate, it’s racial vilification mate…. it’s a shit word and you know it’

Clarke (to the Umpire): ‘it’s not the first time benny, even in India ------ …. it’s the second time he’s done it’

Ponting (to the Ump): 'go and tell him, go and tell him on the way. just tell him Australians are unhappy'

 at the bias of the newsreader/scriptwriters. spoze that was always going to happen though.

but you could bet your bottom dollar if any of our players said anything racist they'd be out quick smart.

Alright, you go live under your rock.

It's quite CLEAR from the reactions of several of our senior and respected players, including our captain, that Harbhajan said something racist and unsportsmanlike.

And no, it started in India. You should've known that.

And as for the dropping of the charge, IF it'd have gone through, and if Harbhajan got banned it would've pretty much ruined any India-Australian series's for the forseeable future. They're pretty much the one series left that gets neutrals interested, and is a big money earner for both sides.

Especially due to the fact your board did shit all about it. If something was to be done it would've been from our end attacking yours, definitely not good for relations.

But as the old adage goes, ignorance is bliss.

The ICC did feck all because they fear the BCCI. Harbhajan acted like a twat just like he does most of the time. You Aussies are bitter about Dada though, he was the first one to challenge you at your own game.

It's going to be interesting to see where India go from this series.

They're in a pretty similar position to us in that they've got several elder statemen on their way out in the near future, with two already retiring (Ganguly and Kumble), and one probably with a decision pending (Dravid). Then there's VVS, and Tendulkar who haven't really got that many more years in them.

I'm wondering who you guys have waiting in the wings. First things first is you've got a Great Captain in Dhoni, a to-be brilliant opening/strike bowler in Sharma and several quality middle aged (to elder) players who will be around for several more years.

But the question remains, how will you guys replace the quality and awesomeness of the likes of Tendulkar, VVS, Dravid, Ganguly and Kumble (the most underrated bowler)?

It was never proven that Harbhajan has been racist as pointed out by someone already. I know his language well and the word monkey is spaoken as maan kii which is basically swearing at mum. The man cant even speak english properly so the most likely scenario is he atually swore in his own language. So that is possibly the reason for reactions from Australian team. And you trying to make look Symonds lke an innocent victim there. He is no saint, and there is no doubt at all that Symonds must have said something very provocotive and he has been a contoversial figure over the years.
As for gestures to the crown by Harbhajan, is he not alowed to scratch himself in the humid weather:wenger:?
So stop being biased and face the reality.

He speaks pretty good English in that video there.

Try again.

Tendulkar is basically irreplacable. Apart from when playing Australia VVS has been nothing more than average, so there as many young players coming through and one will eventually replace him. Gambhir is is a good nick of form and looks very promising, and as for replacing Dravid, ganguly, i would like to see Yuvraj step up his test game, and then there are very talented Raina and Rohit Sharma waiting for a chance as well. So it might take a while but the future certainly looks bright to me.

Yeah I wasn't saying they're going to struggle, I was more after the names of these players so I can look out for them once they start breaking into the side.

You are deluded.

Is this directed towards me?

If so, how so?

I think you are the one who needs to try harder because you think he is guily of racism, while the hearing has proven he isnt. Just on a side note, maa Kii is a word used in his language more often than 'feck you' use by English.
