India vs. Australia

Next test starts on Friday.

I have a feeling it's gonna be a belter. Mohali pitch can favor pace bowlers a bit.

What i cant understand is that why was the pitch for the first test not prepared to favor spinners rather than pacers. Are there some kind of regulation in place to avoid too much of home advantage, or was it just the grounds men being idiots?

And there I was thinking everything was going well. Its the familiar crash again.

It would be good if Tendlya gets to the big number today. He's been dancing around it for too long.

And he's done it. Lara's record is history.

Does anyone think he'll spring a surprise and announce his retirement at the end of this test or series? Not likely since he'll want to make his record secure - he's that kind of guy. Besides, he has a year or so of cricket left in him.

Our seamers have done much better than spinner over last 2-3 years. I have no idea we went with Misrhra. Only time I saw him was in IPL for DDD.

401/6 at lunch. Ganguly 91. Dhoni 45. 500 surely on the cards. I'm expecting a better scoring rate after lunch. India will probably declare with ab out 15-20 overss left in the day and put australia in to bat.

and they didnt want to pick dada ..
he can bat , he can score , he can waste time , he can wind up the opponents and he is the only leader we have

Good stuff. Need to get them out before 300. I have never seen Aussies bat at such a low RR.

Stumps - Day 3

India 100/0 - Lead of 301

We should look to get another 150 and then declare and we have a great chance of winning this second test. Great batting display from the openers today

Majority of these lot played in the modern era. Although, I doubt his record will be challenge, mainly because of 20-20

Only one I think can come close is Kallis given he is two years younger. But for that Sachin would have retire right now.

They've come out guns blazing today morning. Poor Sehwag missed his century but is back to his best.

Bat another 10-15 overs and give them 450+ to chase.

If we let them draw after this, we're pathetic.

Gambhir hits a 4 from 99. Well done. Been damn consistent in all forms of the game.

We've put them in. Well timed declaration I think. I was beginning to worry they were going to go on too long (we've been guilty of that in the past) but 4 and a half sessions with 500+ staring them in the face should wear down any team. The ball should turn nicely on day 5.

fecking great. A series loss and poor performance might mean the end of Ponting's career.

Does anyone have a good quality link for where we can see the days highlights?
